    @disturbed.... I think even the pawn shops would be cleaned out of good stuff??..the 'old' stuff easily sells for more than the new stuff...

    I think it depends. If you have a 'historic' guitar like pre-95 PRSes, old Fenders and Gibsons, then it has very good resale value. The smaller, very good manufacturers (Ibanez archtops, Carvin,Larrivee, Parker, Godin, Conklin etc) don't have resale value at all. So if you're ok with less hype etc etc, you can get excellent Ebay deals from what I've seen.
