i have a givson G 215. i want to change the strings. plzz suggest which brand i shud buy. ny budget is within 500
givson will sound givson no matter how good strings u put on it so my advice is to put basic karuna strings(rs.55-70 for set) if u chang frequently or at most alice gold or galli rainbow(both rs.150 each set).they have a good tone on givson, tested myself. save the rest and get some good dunlop picks from them...
Hmm.. yeah, I'll agree with rammy there. Get a Karuna Spanish Set and spend the rest of the cash on picks, or if you are expereinced enough, get yourself a capo...
dont be too hard on urself...play ur givson for some while like another 8-10 months...its good to learn at, 90% indians start on givsons...how long hav u been playing guitar? learn some stuff on it and then go for a better acoustic or an electric as ur instincts will say...

Dude if u want something that really pays off its worth, get Elixir strings. I've tried D'Addarios, Martins, Fenders, everything. None of em lasts more than a couple o months, provided u pratice daily. But last time, I got Elixir's phosphor bronze set, and it was a shock to hear such a great difference in tonality. I got em in last september, and they are still holding their ground firmly. I dont have any idea how much they would cost in india, but in the states, they are around $13-15. My opinion, get those. I really think ur Givson wud brighten up. Peace.
hi sorry wasnt around a bit, well if u seriously consider buying an avoustic, get a gud chinese guitar like a gb&a or granda, good tonal quality but choose it wisely, play it for some time before finalizing...if u are very serious in playing guitr or rather acoustic, then u can go for a good yamaha or a fender(authentic), not takemine coz wat we get here is jasmine thats not that gud...gb&a,granda wud cost u around 7k, a good yamaha or a fender will be around 10k, or else u may even opt ovation(do check it out), they are pretty good if u llike that tone(saif ali khan uses it in parineeta but thats just it, buy it only if u like it) coz it has fibre back instead of traditional wood back...its for around 15k depending on the model...ur choce now by ur taste and mullah...
