    Hey jay...
in one of the threads u suggested ultra light strings for the leads...
and somewhere else u gave the gauges also..
am not able to find out that..
    can u give that again..
what is the best combo of strings to play the leads on acoustic...
also suggest whether i shud use electric or acoustic strings for all purpose..

If you dont get the .08, go for .11 and .10 or .11 and .09 combination for the last two strings..

    Wow....8s on a acoustic!??!

Hmmmm...thin strings on an acoustic = less tone

I would reccomend heavy strings on acoustics, 11-52 are pretty good, they give a bigger and better sound to them than a pack of 9s or 8s.

Here are a couple of links to good acoustic strings

    Dean Markley

    Ernie Ball
    blackmamba likes this.

    rammy Guitar=Dope ; Me=Addict

    A Washburn dreadnought cutaway D10CEQSB
    WT82 Tuner/Preamp
Black imported hard case (just like in deperado) ;-)

    D'addrio acoustic strings extra light 85/15 : .10 .14 .22 .30 .40 .50 - Rs. 350
they give a good tone but arn't as warm as the original vinci strings which were pre-installed but then they were so heavy(maybe .12 or .13)that my fingers looked like sausages after 1 hr practice so i got them changed.(i used peavy before, also a good buy)
