    Hi all,

I have been learning guitar from a instructor from past 2-3 months. I can play chords, can play lil bit lead stuff (not fast though). But, now i'm getting a feeling that I am kinda stuck at one place and that really bugs me. He teaches me songs and stuff like that.

Could anyone suggest what to do next. Is learning different songs the right way to practice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Do exercises...and practice scales

If you could let us know where you are stuck, and where would you want to go to, we could help you more.
If you want to play blues, it isn't so much of technique as it's about soul. I'd advise you to listen to as much blues so that you can absorb and understand it.
If you want fast metal machine-gun riffs, it's all about practice.
    so on and so forth....
