yes, i do understand y v hammer n pull off. 1.it makes guitarin easier and 2. it sounds amazin. a lot better dan pickin da separate frets in order. da only thing im havin a prob wid is... i dun get a proper sound while i play 7h8p7p5. da sound is dampened way 2 quick. but well, i'l juz continue practicin it until i get it right. thanx 2 all da suggestions provided by dese guyz n da support, i'l get it rite pretty soon but well, i started learnin da finger-pickin techniques n all dat stuff only 2day.. frm sum websites. so hopefully, i'l also clarify dis wid my master n perfect dat b4 playin nothin else matters....
i read dat 1 looooong ago, dood. but juz coz u said it, i read it once more. n hey, i think i understand all dat stuff. da ONLY problem im havin rite now... (i think im sayin dis 4 da 1008th time now in dis thread).. is dat i cant get a proper sound. dats IT.... i think my method's ok. juz dat da sound dampens quick. i need 2 prolong da sound or finish off da hammerin n pull offs quicker.. been kinda buzy.... wil try it out 2nite prob. got a weekend... wooohooo... damn, juz been a few days since coll reopened n im gettin back 2 da regular routine of hatin it
I will post. Sorry for the delay.. There seems to be prob at home internet.. Here at work its slower.. So i need to finish my stuff first...
if ya think ur method is correct..then u prolly need to increase ur finger strength n also check the action of ur guitar...
action can b defined as playability, it determines how much u haveta exert onthe strings to push 'em down to the frets... here..these measurements may b some help.... measurements are for medium action: (adding or subtracting 1/64 in. (0.4mm) will change the action to high or low) (for body fret) electric - Bass E - 6/64 in. (2.38mm) Treble E - 4/64 in. (1.59mm) flat-top acoustic - Bass E - 8/64 in. (3.18mm) Treble E - 6/64 in. (2.38mm) classical - Bass E - 10/64 in. (3.97mm) Treble E - 8/64 in. (3.18mm) just check if ur guitar's action's 2 high...
or just look at it horizontally from the end of the guitar head.... if it looks fine, it usually is ok... or else just take it to a decent store and get it checked.
i kinda kno wat action is. am i actually supposed 2 MEASURE IT?! i thot u juz kinda gauge it wid yer eyes, man.. well, doin DAT, i think mine's ok.. not 2 high. well, il measure it nehow.. thanx.
Try using a Vernier Calipers and measure the Action.. And Reduce slowly till you just manage to miss the Buzzing sound..
iv seen/used vernier calipers only in my coll phy labs. n i dun hav da habit of flickin stuff frm coll... gimme a better suggestion, jay!!! (comin 2 think of it, i actually brought home a coupla mouse balls frm my comp lab in skool hehehe... )
Been THere Too.. Try using your finger and get the action.. Just tune down the stringsa and lower the bridge till you manage to miss a buzz.. THe buzz which come because the strings touch the first few Frets or Manes.. If you get the Buzz, Perfection your action by removing it..
