Guys m luking fr a gud practice amp... Have been stranger fr quite a long tym.. m planning to get a marshall DFX 15/30, whichevr fits the budget... m considering laneys too but hvnt got a gud idea abt them... If sumbdy has used laneys, do drop in yr comments... N as far as marshall DFX is concerned, i've played 30, n kind of liked it... Will 15 perform comparable (minus the volume) If sumbdy hs used dese amps, do gv yr suggestions... My budget depends on hw much i spend on guitar upgrade... Newys must hv 8k left in my pocket by den...
Laney definitely. Marshall isn't worth it. You need 30W pushing a 10" if you want to be heard over your drummer.
Thnx dude... But wt models do u get in laney at dis budget? I ws preferring marshalls as i've got sum experience wid dem... I've nvr used laneys, so if i get dem it'll b solely on yr advice, so help me out a bit more... N as far as the output of marshall is concerned, i dont find it so low, 30 is quite loud, i never used it above midway n it worked fyn... Newys, gimme some more of laney.. The pros n cons, d inbuilt effects...
If you're going to jam with a drummer then you need 30W of power. Basically you need a bigger speaker which only comes with the higher wattage. The Laney LX35R was for 7900 on bajaao when I bought it. You can probably get it cheaper at a store. Has a driven channel with a mid scooping option. Also has 3 band eq and reverb. I don't like the Marshall amps they're overpriced IMO.
Laney 35R at 9400 n marshall dfx30 at 11k... both atleast 2.5k more than wt they used to b a few months back... Ws dere a recent hike in the price???? N m nt too inclined fr the roland angel, tried one of my freind's, dint quite like it, may b it ws coz the amp ws too worn out... hv u used it yrself? Is it rly gud? Can u gimme an idea abt the models available, their pros n cons? N d primary reason fr getting the gud amp is, i had a few mishaps using my stranger, lyk while practicing i sounded sumthing else n sumthing else on gigs... N i suppose using a gud amp (fr giving line out) will give me sum flexibility n a better control on my sound on stage widout deteriorating the quality of sound...
