    dum maro dum

hiya i have the tabs of dum maro dum
    <The Main Melody>
(h-hammeron Advanced players should know how to do this. Example -The
    hammer
on in the first part is played by first plucking the 2 and then quickly
pressing down 3 quickly. Use Sound file to see how it sounds. I have
    played
it slowly so you can catch it)

due to beginners I have decided not to use hammer ons. Advanced guitarists
should be able to improvise it anyways.>

Hey Lavina, that was a nice explanation for hammer ons. Any idea what "p" (for plucking) is?

    Others:
    / : slide up
    \ : slide down
    ~ : let it ring
h: hammer ons (sounds little similar to slide up, but is sharper)
p : no idea. help reqs.

Copying the above to the STICKY thread as well.

    Hi vidhansinghai

I'm copying this from another thread:

    "p" means "Pull Off":

    E|----------
    B|----------
    G|----9p7---
    D|----------
    A|----------
    E|----------

The "p" means pull off. Put your little finger on 9 and your index finger on 7, pluck the string, and quickly slide your little finger off in a downwards motion (this keeps the string vibrating) and the pitch will change quickly from 9 to 7. It is the opposite of "hammer on".

Here's another simple description with an example:

5p3 - 'p' stands for a pull-off. Basically the opposite of a hammer-on, where you would play fret 5, then pull off your finger to create the tone of fret 3 having only picked the string once.

If the song is played on a Dm the tabs would be a little different

    Intro: Hold Dm chord

    e-------0h1----1---1----1---0h1--------0h1---1---1---1----0h1----------
    B----3-------------------------------3-----------------------------------
    G-2-------------------------------2--------------------------------------

The song is based on a Dm C Bb A progression
    Dm
    Dum maro Dum
    Dm
    Mit jaye gum
    C
    bolo subho shaam
    Dm
    hare krishna hare raam

    Dm .....................C
    Duniya ne humko diya kya
    C.......................Bb
    duniya se hamne liya kya
    Bb.......................A
    hum sabki parwa kare kyun
    A....................Dm
    sabne hamara kiya kya

    Dm C Bb A
    AaaaaaaAaAaaaaaaaaaa...

    Enjoy

    Try this chords sequence!

    Hey Guys,

    D#m......C#......B......Bb

    these chords sound better than

    Dm......C......Bb......A

Also, Please someone give me the perfect strumming pattern for guitar.
    I am using,

    D--- D-DU DUD- DU--
    Last DU is loud one.

    D = Down Strumming
    U = Up Strumming
