Hearing the song for the first time - very faintly remember having listened to this number earlier. Nice chords. Is there any deviation in the first line between male and female melody? The chords after A looks different between male and female voices - I am not sure. You can check. Thanks for bringing out another IR's gem. The song is in A Major only following A major scale notes. Looks like the song starts in the higher octave - g3. Try E string (high) -----9----7----5-5---------7----5---2-2------------ for Seerkonduva Ven Maegame.... Sathya
Dude, Yes Dm in female version creates a different feel,N thats the ilayaraja's speciality. This is because of SPB's Bhavam's variation he will strongly Stress the word "Ven",in that place ilayaraja used (D-Major) and when it comes to Janaki the word "Ven" Floats and here ilayaraja used Dminor. Regards, Sathya
Nice song Sathya. Most chords sound great to me. Some variations in my version. (A)seer kondu (Bm)vaa (D)ven maega(A)mae (A)seer kondu (Bm)vaa (D)ven maega(A)mae idhu (E)iniya vasandha kaa(A)lam ilaigalil (E)ilamai thulirum koa(A)lam idhu(D)vae (A)ini enrum (D)nirandharam (F#m)sriraagam onru (A)nee paadu (E)kannae (F#m)sevvaayil thaenai (A)nee ootrum (E)munnae (A)aar(D)aadha(A)nai....(E)...(A)..(E).....(A)ahh...ahhh...(E)aahh (A)aala(D)aba(E)nai..(A)....aar(D)aadha(E)nai..(A).. Rajesh your version is too good especially its awesome at that humming part but only thing is when janaki sings "ven",I can here only Dm Regards, Sathya
Hi Sathya Still can't hear a Dm there. The arpeggio played in the background plays F# and D. Is your keyboard tuned to the song? I had to tune mine to match the song's key. Old songs recorded from vinyl records often tend to be off-key. Rajesh :music:
