I am planning to buy my second guitar. Should i go for a semi-electric one?

At present i own an acoustic hobmer archtop guitar like the one in here (https://www.vintagefret.com/pages/14809.html). But i have heard that such guitars are preferred for jazz style of music. I wish to have a semi-electric guitar. My price range is 5000-6000. Which one should i go for?
