5/6 usually means to slide from 5th fret to 6th fret... A few people use 5x6 to denote the same.. i.e. pluck on 5 th fret once and without releasing the pressure on your finger, drag it to 6th fret.Do not pluck it again on 6th unless mentioned.... Hope that helps, Regards, Abhay
