    Beginners guitar

You are a beginner right!dont blow your pot so soon.10k can fetch you guitars to which you wouldnt be able to do justice so soon.Get yourself a decent sounding guitar like a Givson gs1000 (review-https://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar/product/Givson/G.S.1000/10/1)
or a second hand aria or Squire model(Which you might find but with great difficulty).Save the money for a good processor and amp and probably a spanish acoustic too sometimes the sound from electrics becomes kinda monotonous and a spanish acoustic will do wonders to your learning and will also provide sheer listening pleasure.
Of course if u feel that you still have to go for a 10k thingy ,just wait for an answer from experienced igtians.
PS: Dont fall for the Givsons are horrible quote. There just can't be a better
beginners guitar than the GS 1000 atleast for that price.Just perfect
(Dont call me a Givson enthusiast)

^^dude a java is certainly bttr dan da givson GS1000(which btw is not decent sounding).........it is true dat a good effects processor and an amp can help u learn a lot, bt a playable guitar is necessary too........ in da 10 k range go for an aria stg 003 wid a good amp wid inbuilt distortion.......(marshall if u want joe satriani type distortion or a stranger amp....)

even though aria stg 003 is one of da lousiest guitar lying around it is good for beginners.........................

Hey how is the Bajaoo guitar starter combo pack??

    Bajao starter

Any "Guitar Starter" pack is good till the guitar. There is one given by Fender, one by Aria, and many more.
These packs give you a guitar, amp, strap, stand, (and maybe) strings. But the Amplifier in these packs is completely shit.
All of them are 10W amplifiers, for example - Fender gives an SG-10 amp where the 10 indicates the Watts.
Fender's pack cost's about Rs.15,000 which is still high (because of the brand name I guess)
Aria one cost's about 10,000 or lesser, but the Fender one has better looks.
I myself (almost) fell for these packs, but then I thought to spend a few more bucks and bought myself an Ibanez GRX-170 and a Marshall MG-15.. Although I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO DO THE SAME!!!
I would recommend that you buy a Cort, or Greg Bennett (only for beginners) And I found a Washburn X10 for Rs.9000 on Furtados.
If with budget of 15,000 (only for guitar) then do this -
    Buy a Washburn X10 -Rs.9000
Buy an EMG-81 or EMG-85 pickup - Rs.6,000 (buy only one, cuz only one matters)

If you prefer to go for strat, then this -
Buy any Stratocaster (Bullet Strat, Squier) - Rs.10,000
Buy a Seymour Duncan SL59-1b Little (White, cuz it looks cool on strats) - Rs.5,000

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY GIVSON!!!
You can choose from these brands -
Washburn, Ibanez, Fender, Cort, Yamaha, Epiphone. There are other brands as well but these are my preferred.
Ibanez GRX-40 and Epiphone Les Paul Special II both cost Rs.11,000 on Furtados. I'd say you to buy the Epiphone LP..

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    My set-up -
    IBANEZ GIO-RX 170 DX
    Marshall MG-15
    Korg AX5 processor
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An old thread. Two years old, to be precise ;)

Just for clarification since this thread has been bumped anyway: The amps in starter packs aren't bad because they're 10W. They're just lacking in build quality / tone. On the other hand, the Vox Pathfinder 10, Roland Cube 15XL are decent bedroom amps. And there are plenty of tube amps in the 5W range that are brilliant.

Choice of gear depends on style of music. Not everyone needs after market pickups. Especially not at a beginner stage. And definitely not with a practice amp at the end of the signal chain.

    Good info otherwise. Cheers
