Yes, they are in A Minor - Keeravani ragam. The link is here below: https://indianguitartabs.com/f20/ta...attam-en-kaiyil-irs-super-hit-song-54177.html Sathya
Hi Sathya, Are you sure that Sorgam madhuvile has Keeravani phrases in it? recently I was playing "Thulli Yezhundhadhu Kaatru"; though the song notes follow Mixolydian Mode; it could not be confirmed as Harikambhodhi; the song is just in Eb Mixolydian with C#(Min7) instead of D(Maj7) in Eb scale
Yes, I see only one accidental note in the song - 'n2' (instead of n3) in the word 'Ku***kiraen'. All the other notes follow Keeravani ragam only & I am not comfortable with the special use of notes in Keeravani ragam............. Sathya
One think, I can confidently say is that taking the root note as "A", the tabs follow harmonic minor scale notes except the one exception given above. "A" harmonic minor scale ends at G# (7th note). In one place G is used instead of G#...... Sathya
That's how harmonic minor scale comes - with an elevated 7th note and hence G#. This also goes well with Keeravani ragam with elevated 7th note n3 instead of n2 of Natabhairavi (natural minor scale)................... Sathya
Sathya, Pls find out the raagam for me. Rajnikanth & Sarath Babu - Raja Raani Jackie - Netrikkan - YouTube
I heard this song once. I could not make it. Let me listen again. Evvalavu nalla nalla pattellam irukku, why this song? Raamanin Mohanam unga kaadhil vizhavillaiyya? ........................ Sathya
May be the bass fans taste is different than others. To me this is the best of the best in that album. Second best is theeradha vilayattu ****ai. Rajnikanth - Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai - Netrikkan - YouTube Listen to the bass lines when stanza starts, "avan aasaiyiulla varaiyil vilayadi". Ofcourse Ramanin mohanam also best, but its next to the above for me.
Chords are quite subtle in the song. Excellent work Senthil. E7 would sound better than just an E and an F6 might be better here: "(F)ponaal aval ponaal" The last line of charanam sounds just E7 to me: "ninaitha(E7)dhai marakiren. Finally an IR twist I think, although the F# note does not feature anywhere in the song! (C)madhu (Dm)tharum (E)sugam (D)sugam (C)ithil (Dm)varum (E)nijam (D)nijam Listen and let me know if you guys agree! Rajesh :music:
Thanks Rajesh, Neenga sonna appeal edhu? I am sure D Major will defnitely fit, was reluctantly noticed the slight difference, but the song is being Aminor, Dm comes to my mind automatically, D Major didn't even come to my mind.
