    what was my fault?
i am here to ask you today
what was it that provoked you?
what was it that made you destroy my life?
that was once happy and gay..
    you cannot blame my clothes
for i walked on covered from head to toe
or wait was it my unclad eyes and ears?
    was it my stride?
or was it the small careful steps i took?
was it the creaking sound of my heels?

i find nothing, absolutely nothing that i did
    nothing that one could blame
nothing that could force you to make me a subject
of your brutality, of your vengeful misdeeds..

    absolutely nothing.. i say!
so that is why i am here, i need an answer
so that i might be careful in future
i have come to ask my folly
for something has to be there that was leading
or maybe wait..was my fault just that i was breathing?

You seem to be pretty sentimental about this whole issue.

I liked the last five lines..

i like the way it ends ...

Sirf Hungama Khada Karna mera Maksad nahi
Meri Kosisih hai ki ye Surat Badalni Chahiye
Mere seene main na ho to Tere seene Main sahi
Ho Kahin bhi Aaag Lekin Aaag Jalni Chahiye

^^ u can use them anywhere its ur will ...(they were not written by me but by a great poet they called "dushyant kumar"
Ho gayi hai peer parvat si pighalni chahiye,
Iss himalaya se koi ganga nikalni chahiye.

Aaj ye dewaar, pardon ki tarah hilne lagi,
Shart lekin thi ki ye buniyaad hilni chahiye.

Har sadak par, har gali mein, har nadi, har gaon mein,
Haath lehraate hue har laash chalni chahiye.

Sirf hungama khada karna mera maksad nahi,
Meri koshish hai ki ye surat badalni chahiye.

Mere seene mein nahi to tere seene mein sahi,
Ho kahin bhi aag, lekin aag jalni chahiye.

Your fault is that you are weak and cannot fight back.
Your fault is that you are not the aggressor.
And you fault is that none of you can ever come together be organized and hunt in packs.

    It's a jungle out there ...
Either the Lion survives or the wild dogs.

^^ the question is not of fighting ... i once wrote " how does a man become God ..he buys a gun ..lol" ..u have 6 bullets u need to fire 1 and 100 people will run like they have ghost behind them... chineys pistols @ 2000 Rs. Make then legal and see the fun .. no body will be weak only a lot of them will be handicapped ..so the question is not about fightig its actully about not fighting and living happily in a community !!!

But even the lion and the wild dogs hunt with dignity.
    They respect every animal.
    Unlike some people in India

They do it because its their purpose. They won't do it for fun or for anything else.
They do it for their needs only.

    Needs ...
    Its a disputable word.

    Nandy, are you daft?
one single person will fight back how many people at once?
practical baat kia kro..these things suit only books..

I simply told you why you are getting hunted all the time.
Its up to you and your clan to decide how to "fight" back.

The poem is about a someone on the receiving end who doesn't understand why he/she is on the receiving end.
    I told the reason why.

He answered that by saying that the world is a jungle full of animals.
And the bigger animals show their superiority by forcing the inferior animals to do as they wish.

    Yes, Nandy is indeed daft.

BTW, if someone here feels he/she is not guilty of acting like an animal ever - perhaps it would be wise to look back and ponder about all the things you have done where you were competitive and you trounced someone.

Or perhaps the time when you acted irrationally, irresponsibly, and quite possibly in anger/hatred/jealousy/greed.
