here are the wise words of a few politicians. mind you before you say" india k to minister aise he hain" , there are foreigners too.. 1. Dharambir Goyal, congress party spokesperson, haryana. "around 90 per cent of the rapes occur when women go along willingly with their rapists. When what starts off as consensual s3x goes wrong, these women start crying rape" 2. Jitender Chhatar, Khap panchayat leader, haryana. "eating fast food like chowmein causes rape. the consumption of this kind of food- burgers and pizzas create a hormonal imbalance in men and let their animal instincts veer out of control, and their increased ***ual desire manifests as rape. 3. Madan Mitra, minister in the mamta banerjee govt of west bengal "if you go to a nightclub, drink too much and talk to stranger men, then you really shouldn't complain when u get raped. honestly. what were you doing there in the first place." 4.Todd Akin, US congressman who is running for Senate as a republican candidate "if you get raped, the rape is "legitimate" (as in you are not making this stuff up to make yourself sound more interesting) then the body has a way to "shut itself down" and you will not get pregnant 5. Kenneth Clarke, justice secretary, united kingdom " some rapes are more serious than the others. in an case of an 18 year old man having *** with a under aged girl, or in cases of date rape , the crime is less serious than other rapes and deserves a lesser punishment"
The thing mentioned in the first point happened to someone i know. He and a girl used to have consensual *** but when the girls father found this out to extract revenge he filed a rape case. But that 90% figure is complete BS though. These cases are a few and far in between .
yet, the idea of being held to ransom by a rape complaint is fairly disturbing to the general populace. A necessarily strict law becomes a weapon in the hands of stronger people.
seriously..what amuses me is that these guys actually have the courage to give such outrageous statements in the public. :O
It amuses me that he didn't lose by a hundred percent margin. Also, male rape is said to be commonly unreported due to the humiliation the man faces by his peers after this. A sizable section of society sympathises with a female rape victim and in the case of men, I understand that the section is considerably smaller.
So why don't women do the same? Of course this is based on assumption that what you have written is indeed true. (Which I disagree with)
If rape = intercourse by force, male rape by a female might also be uncommon due to biologically most women being physically weaker? The humiliation factor is pretty huge. This is a big reason why many male rape by male cases are not reported too... Maybe men are too proud after all???
I'm not sure you're being serious but going by that logic, that would probably be the reason why 90% of rape cases go unreported...?
