I think this song was copied by Anand Milind in Hindi movie Dil. Some how, I am not fan of this song as I don't like Tabla songs, few may be exception, but not this.
Sen, there was a period, where... IR and few North MD were in good touch... they exchanged good compositions... they thought not to interfere in others business at the same time they wanted the good music to reach everybody.. so they did exchange... one example would be "kanavu kaanum vaazhkkai' of 'neengal kettavai' composed by Kalyanji Anandhji exchanged for our IR's 'ilaya nilaa'.. hope I told the correct exchanged songs...
Pearl, I read about the exchange between Kalayanji Anandji and IR. But Anand Milind's are blatant copy from IR's composition. They did many songs like that, another example is Dhak Dhak Karne Laga from Beta is copied from Abbanee teeyani from Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari.
I dint know that... also.. I have heard "kondai seval koovum neram" of Rasukutty.. in Hindi... with Anil Kapoor in the lead.. couldnt remember the name of the movie... I think it should start with "koyal ki..." is that also a copy or exchange ? any idea ???
That's not from Rasukkutty, it's from Enga Chinna Rasa, BETA is a remake of that movie. They copied several other songs from IR in early 1990s. they do admit their lifts, as they are hardcore fans of IR.
