too much of influence from the west ..what does it prove? the backwardness of the indians or the progress of indians? or none of the above maybe..discuss..
I think India as a nation is too enormous to be generalized. You'll find examples of everything you've mentioned.
I would say it is our negative mentality that makes us feel that way. The world did accept what India had to offer when our civilization was ahead of the rest of the world. Buddhism spread to all of East Asia like wildfire. Our yoga is still held in high regard in the West. We on the other hand being under foreign rule could not keep up with the industrial development that the West has managed and their new ideologies and evolution of the free society. Now we are averse to accepting the good in their culture and somehow believe that medieval Indian tradition is always right and things cannot be done in any other way.
Well most of the teenagers interpret everything differently, and think the world revolves around them.(Have seen it in Jammu) They consider a help as an insult and always try to prove themselves by doing stupid and immoral things.
Most teenagers today (gee, using those words make me feel like an old guy ) are dumb sheeps an a flock, and will follow blindly into any trend --> Bad! [Backwardness] Making informed decisions by yourself--> Extremely GOOD! [Progress] Old uncles in government offices, scared to shit when the opportunity for making an excel file or audit or report or something --> [No words... Face-palm] :annoyed:
