Hey fellas.... I'm really stuck out here and want ur expert opinions.....
Actually I'm planning to buy a affordable axe... and I've nailed down on these two:
    1-ESP LTD F-10(rs 11400) (24 frets).
2-Fender Squier California series fat strat(rs12000)(21 frets).
Now I'm into playing all the rock, blues-rock,Guns n roses(dat makes hard rock too) and pink floyd stuff. So please tell me which one should I finalize so that it may be a versatile instrument and support d styles mentioned above. Also if u have any good option other than these within 14k range then plzz post ur valuable comments.... :) O:)

The California would suit your style better.... The ESP is better for playing metal...

I'd suggest you try the Greg Benett Avion AV1, a superb guitar at your budget... Stay away from Ibanez Gios....

    alpha1 I BLUES!

    Do a trial play.
The one that feels best for your fingers is the best one for you.

Do a trial play with amp.
Choose the one that sounds the best

Get yourself a Yamaha Pacifica 012 and be good... Much much better than the low end squiers and ESPs and Ibanez

I believe you ought to play a guitar and find out if it suits you... There are guitars you might think are great on pen and paper but when you actually play them, they feel different...

Now the online market is such that if even minor faults or damages will be replaced with a new product so you don't have to worry about that part... But testing a guitar and judging its playability is an entirely different affair... Other people's tastes might be very different from yours, there's no lack of opinions and free advice in this world (just like I am giving right now :p)...

I had made up my mind to go get a Schecter Omen 6 FR (i researched for more than a year on which should be a good second axe) a couple of years ago but after 8 hours of browsing thru shops around the city, I found this really beautiful guitar which played as good as it looked, which I played on and on... I just couldn't drop it... I stopped my search right there and came out with the Samick AV3.. Believe it or not, the Schecter was the first guitar I tried that day, and I didn't like it to be very honest... Not its looks, not its sound..Most importantly, the fretboard was too thick for my fingers.. See, that is the part what you can't really understand while browsing online....

"You don't choose a guitar, the guitar chooses you...." :D

Stay away from this special serials though they are good to play. Somehow the news that i got from the store owners is they are unreliable. And the stock of Special series that they had got had some or the other defect in the electronics section in almost all the special series guitars that they had. So check throughly before buying one!!!!

Lately i have realised a fact that cost does not determine good or bad guitar. Its something that if u feel its good when u hold it then thats the guitar for you even if that means u buying a Java guitar(ofcourse u need to change the pickups to make it more versatile)

But seriously go to the store and try the guitars irrespective of the brand. U will be amazed to see what u like......

Try all Yamaha, Hagstrom, Greg bennetts, Ibanez, Squiers, ESP, Kramer etc etc.

Repeating this one more time. Pick the one that U find the best irrespective of the brand!!!

Ofcourse for the above to be valid u need to be somewhat an experienced player to understand ur needs!!!
