Do any of these guitar teachers teach by notations. My experience is most home tutoring or individual teachers just teach by the ear, which is not good for learning the basics of music. If you really want to learn music and build a solid foundation then you need to get a teacher that teaches by motations and can help you read them. Do any of these teachers have that kind of experience. Thanks, Sachin
This is a Year Old thread that you have replied too.... Sadly u have not been to the good teachers...For learning theory u dont have to necessarily learn the musical notations...Infact simple tabs notations are sufficient enough unless u really want to read complex tablatures and notations by famous musicians........ Developing ur ears are equally important...Without that u cannot do anything..... Rather go to a theacher who is well versed with musical theory and knows what he/she is playing As per my experience if you are starting out ur Guitar journey at an early stage in life then it makes sense to get into learning musical notations...ELSE DONT WASTE UR PRECIOUS TIME
Learning musical notations might not be very important but it's surely not a waste of time. It really helps when you wanna play more than one instrument.
