Hey guys basically I had played acoustic guitar for some months and I played it on a right handed guitar even when I am left handed(I was not comfortable)
Now I am planning to buy a new electric guitar in the range of 12k Rs(240$). I want to shift to left handed guitars completely.

Now I need suggestions on what kinda as in brand and model guitar I should go for and amp as well!
I am inclined towards Rock, Metal(not very heavy types) and Classical Rock!
Also I like the sound of a les paul, so something with that kinda sound would be really nice!!

Its urgent guys, expect some replies asap!!

    Thanks!!!

sorry to say dude,no decent guitar in that range,,a good guitar from yamaha ,(thats 112j) starts from Rs15500,which i suggest..
and stay away from the ibanez Gio series,i.e GRG's they sound crappy though they look great and cheap...

    1st choice - Yamaha pacifica 112J
    2nd - Fender Squier
3rd choice - Greg bennett. If you can afford go for AV3. Dont buy AV1

A lot of people go for the Roland cube. You could try that it's pretty decent. Has lots of effects and features inbuilt so it's a good starting amp. Does rock fairly well. Don't know about metal though

dont waste a lot of money on a amp which you may have to upgrade anyway
for a starter buy a simple 10/15 watt amp with great sound quailty (roland/yamaha)
then eventually when you've developed your skills, get a processor for effects and later a more powerful amp
