So finally I've finished the song.

    Searching in the dark:
    MP3 Player SoundClick

    First the credits:
Special thanks to bjr for pointing out the flaws and strong points in the piece and wylder for lyrics. Both of you really helped a lot. :help:
Me and vikranth did most of the lyrics.
I did some tweaking in the lyrics I'd posted before in the poetry section. So it looks like this now.

When we are so desperately searching for something which our own mind unwillingly works against giving, you start feeling you should give up. And sometimes things that don't really seem to help you, you have to, maybe for some other time..
    ---------------------
    Searching in the dark
    ---------------------
Sometimes I look up to the skies
to find your place in the stars.
There is a place where we will meet,
but I've been searching in the dark.

I'll find you where my heart lies,
    ...no matter where I go.
The faces in the deep, they lie to me,
'cause I've been searching all alone.

Sometimes I look into your eyes
just to see what's left of me.
And all the times you make me think of you,
I just wish you set me free.

    Another world and other time,
...I just wish that you'd be mine.
And the pain that beheld my sight,
    its just pushing me aside.

I can't find you where my heart lies,
down in the vagaries of hope.
The faces in the deep, they lie to me,
    were forgotten long ago.

The faces in the deep, they lie to me,
'cause I've been searching in the dark. x

Quite hard work, specially trying out the stereo thing; and syncing too. And phasers, EQ, amplifications, noise reductions etc... But enjoyable !
Listen and please do comment. Feel free to point out flaws.

thanks rikky! But somebdy told me the voice is not very discernible, and that vocal need little more amplification...i'm not sure, already tired of editing this song..

This is indeed a very good composition. Musically this is done pretty well.
Just a nice song, vocally and musically!
The rhythm is sounding very good, just love the way the drums are being played.
The mixing should be improved, its well said the voice is a bit too much in the background, but this is just a minor issue.
A little tip, you could played the hi-hats (in the background) in the parts the drums aren't being played, just to boost the song and to make it sound more steady.
Overall this is a very, very good compostion as you guys did a wonderful job, kudos!!!!

Ah, your comments really mean a lot.
For improving the vocals, should I amplify vocals or deamplify rhythm?
For cymbals, I don't know how to get a sample, because my processor doesn't give me only the high hats.
And I reduced the bass EQ so much but still there's a lot of bass. Actually, I strummed so hard at some places, that maybe the pickup, processor or the PC reached its limit and the sound was like a bad quality song played on a loudspeaker (I don't know the term).
And thanks again for the encouragement!

    Thanks again !
    :) <3

    Mix:
Vocals need to be further in front, but you need to record them at a lower volume, the mic is clipping. Also consider a pop filter, even a make shift one. Turn the guitars down. Notch the vocal frequencies on guitar tracks so they sit better. I couldn't discern the bass well either (is there a bass guitar playing?) but that may be because I listened to it through earphones.

    Technique:
Your rhythm guitar is noticeably out of time. The one that is oscillating from left to right. There are other timing issues that could be fixed by playing to a click track. Vocals are decent in spite of the mic. A little off key here and there but nothing serious.

@metalhead_junky...thanks bro ! Yes I know the timing mismatch, happened at some places... I wanted to finish it off because I was tired of that song. It had taken very long and much editing, so I left it at a place I thought was acceptable.

Vocals more in front? Hmm...actually I did quite enough of tweaks to make vocals clearer, but still I believe more needs to be done.
Also, by pop filter do you mean the sponge that's there on the top? Most of the mics we had had little sensitivity, so we had to put mic on boost and the vocalist had to keep the mic very close to his mouth. And we had the filter (that comes with the mic) on it. Still he sometimes breathed into it while uttering the plosives. Do we need to add something extra to it?

And no there isn't a bass track throughout, just the 2nd verse and the 'oohhhoo' part I recorded a separate bass track.

What is a click track btw? Yes, both the lead and rhythm guitar are off-time here and there. I later realised that I should have had pre-recorded beats and then fit the track onto it. Still I tried some copy-pasting on it, believe me, its better than the earlier thing.. :)

Thanks for your suggestions, I hadn't thought of them. Next time. This track I'm really bored of right now..

The guitar riff/melody is going on really well with the overall song..

The bass notes that bass notes that you are adding sound really good with the Guitar riffs/rhythm...kind of Scorpions feel i got!!
