Dear Experts I can play tabs of songs on guitar & keyboard without any formal training but not chords . Pl help .
Dude, thats wat we know as natural aptitude for music. Even I haven't had much formal training. I would recommend u to go through each lesson on this site : Ricci Adams' Musictheory.net (Don't hasten, read every lesson in sequence)
Thanks sir u suggested very good site .. Is it not possible to going through all theory & I could learn chords by natural aptitude .. as going through theory mean erasing natural instinct & going by rules..learning from scratch again ..
Mate, I agree that natural instinct is something a true musician must possess. But learning its basics carefully won't harm it by any means. It will rather help u recognize your strength that u were not aware before, analyze compositions technically, make tunes by breaking boxes. And, To break rules its important to know what they are. Chords will be best taught to u by those theory lessons dude. Your natural instinct won't take u much effort to learn it. .Regards
