Remove the overdrive circuit from the amp - and customize it to get your desired sound out of it. And use it. And don't reveal the secret of your tone till you become famous. (and meanwhile sign up for Marshall MG series endorsement)
WHY and HOW wud one customize an amp without any knowledge of electronics? Yes for learning purpose its a good thing to start on it but then its a lot of unnecessary time investment when u can actually utilize that time for practicing guitar....
What!? Becoming good in guitar BEFORE you achieve that holy grail of tone. since when have "tone obsessed" "rock/metchul" ppl started following that rule? (They haven't otherwise all the guitar / amp / pedal equipment suppliers would have to be content with 90% reduction in their sales)
I agree that tone contributes a lot to whatever u play. But its really important for one to improve the playing technique before one can actually think of getting into electronics unless he/she is obssessed with CUSTOMIZING electronics and stuff like that. Coz that task aint that simple.... Personally for me i think i have a lot to improve when it comes to playing technique so why SPEND TIME customizin something when u have easy but good alternatives present??
well people like to play if they get a good sound but to control and morph its effect using the guitar u have to practice a lot and thats where mymusicmyguitar is right
Oh really? What if you play on acoustic guitar? "control & morph" the effects is a lame way of saying that I want to play with the knobs on the amp and processor and pedals the whole day, improvement in playing comes later. Mymusic - you didn't get the sarcasm in my post.
