Hi everyone , I dont know anything about guitars , but i am very much into music so i wanted to learn guitar in summers just as a hobby . What i plan is learn it from a teacher say like 2/3/4 months and then self practice and play on new hindi and english songs using tabs which are avaliable say for example in the forum only . The PROBLEM is - Where i live , there is a very famous teacher everyone here goes to him , but he teaches guitar using sa re ga ma pa and hindi notes (as my friend has told me) and not in the format like i have seen notes on this website like notes consisting of Am B E F (i am sorry if i said something wrong i dont know anything about it ) So shall i join him , i mean will i be able to play songs myself using notes from the internet after learning the basic in hindi ?? Please help
Hmm , thank you for ur help , bt as i wont be able to do classes after this time period as i will be starting wid my job , i wanted to make sure that wil i be able to. Understand english notations ??? An1 who has learned in hindi and swicthed or practiced and now easily understand eenglish notes ?
I've learned in Hindi and switched and I understand English notes fairly easily. Of course, I had a teacher but I think it shouldn't be difficult.
Its Appears to be a mammoth task but With PAtience And persistence it can be achieved and the job thingy :- U DONT QUIT ON YOUR MUSIC !!!!!!

Thank you all for your valuable replies , i am reaching to this conclusion that i should find an institute that teaches in English notations only , i mean why not to learn directly in English if i have to convert later on

first of all gutiar is a western instrument.....so it can't be teached in hindi raaga second that teacher will teach you sa re ga ma pa only to start with guitar,,,once you learn that he will teach you in western notation......the reason he is using sa re ga ma pa coz a beginner can identify this sound more easily then A B C D E F G......so if that teacher is good my suggestion is that you should start with him.............also even if you are thinking of taking for lesson for2/3/4 month,,,,just concentrate on techinques of guitar not songs.............hope this will help you
