I bot a chinese wireless headphone for 700 bucks wich has a transmitter wich sends out the signals at 87mhz..i connected it to my guitar n tuned the radio on my phone to 87mhz n connected it to guitar input port of my proc ...so basically u need some kind of transmitter that transmits at fm freq n a reciver wich can b ur phone n a few 3.5 mm to 1/4 inch converter jacks...the output is reduced a lil due to losses but is gud enuf for home practice..u can try this
If you get a good quality one, its fabulous on stage as you can move around on the stage with worrying about entangled cables. But the problem is that you need to get good quality ones else there may be loss of high end in the signal. I have used a Shure system a couple of times (for CRI, Manipal and in NIIT Calicut) and it is great. But I don't think you need to waste that kinda money cause for the big gigs the sound engg guys provide you with it.
Petty mistake, I stand corrected. I guess the festival was called Raagam? Anyways, the crowd there was very sportive and we won ourselves some cash coming in at 2nd place. That was six years ago though...
Oh cool! Our band was called Equinox. We played Perry Mason (Ozzy), Return To Serenity (Testament), Hallowed Be Thy Name (Iron Maiden), Little Wing (G3) and an original (don't remember which one )...
Cool... which band do you play for now? and one more thing i wanted to ask you.. how's the ebow? do you find it useful? it's a different technique altogether to play using an ebow..
Manipal band from 6 years ago? Guess I missed you guys by just about a year or two. Your original was called Clockwork. So are you Matthew, who plays Ibanez and Korg? SoundClick artist: Equinoxx - A prog-rock band from Manipal, India with lots of flash.
