Les Pauls or copies in India under 30k?

Hey guys I was les paul researching today and I found out that the epiphone les paul standard costs 48000 in bajaao. Now thats pretty costly for a mid range guitar... Its available in the US for like 25-30k...
So are there any companies that make good quality les pauls in India?

 

The one listed on bajaao is the plus top version, the plain top one comes at a lower price. Also you could look at the Greg Bennett Avion AV6, it is a good one.

Yeah I hate the greg bennett avion's shape. It looks really bad. Not at all like a les paul. I know that one is a plus top but epiphone has discontinued cherry sunburst plain tops. One of the coolest things about a les paul is its finish! And that ibanez les paul copy doesnt look anything like a normal les paul. Its a double cut away.. I dont think I'll ever get a les paul!

 

ibanez art series are really good especially the semi acoustic version...there are esp les pauls also

Yeah the art is double cutaway indeed, sorry my bad. Its too bad the Agiles arent available in india, they are superb. Also checked out the ART and the ARZ series from ibanez they have active pickups in them, so no way a les paul except for the shape. Electric Guitars - ART320 | Ibanez guitars

 

Another thing, are there guitars that go by the name edwards in india? Edwards is the same thing as agile.

 

Nah didnt see them in any shop nor at bajaao, but there was a guy selling used one at the forum but he was asking like 40-50k for the guitar :/

What is so significantly different in shape that you hate it, while at the same moment love the Les Paul design???

 

How about PRS SE? Check out the Singlecut SE or Tremontti SE... Tried it at a shop and thought it was good value for the money.

About the finishes, you can't expect good quality and a sunburst flame/quilt maple top all under 30k.

Dude try looking at an epi standard and then look at the greg bennett av6. Have both the pictures side by side. And you'll understand.

 

PRS's and LTD's are my only hope. LTD ec look pretty cool.

hey amith, had gone to furtados and musician's mall last month and tried the av1, av3 and av6, epi lp special gt ii and one more LP look alike(sadly furtados doesnt keep the lp 100 or lp standard on display) , the av1 and epi special gt ii were not that good, and since even i was plannin to buy a sub 30000 guitar, the av3 and av6 fit the bill pretty well.. so finally when it came down to the price, there's a rs.6000 price difference between the two.. and even though everything else is pretty much same between the guitars except the pickups, i had made up my mind on the av3 just coz of the price (this is my first electric guitar btw, but i do play my friends av1 sometimes). i came back home and started comparing the two, read many reviews, but almost everyone suggested to go with the av6 than the av3 if u got the cash or get the av3 and upgrade the pups to sd59's or alnico pro 2. so many ppl have even compared the av6 to the epi lp standard and even gibsons lp.. now i have no idea how the gibson or the epi std sound, but when i played the av6 and the av3, there was definitely a more warmer sound and better sustain with the av6, i dun have much knowledge about an electric, but the difference in the sound was pretty evident.
so finally il be goin this week with one of my friends who has been playing the electric for a few years now, and il decide then and there.. from all this research that i did in this last month and a half, i think that buying quality over looks makes much more sense, so dun worry if the avion series doesnt look exactly like the gibson LPs, the sounds gonna be atleast 10times better than any other LP in this price range in india. so av3 or av6, either of them are gonna be the best bang for your buck.
