Fenders are gud quality guitars. Really well built. My friend has inherited his dads fender. That guitar is there in that family for almost 10+ years now. Strummed extensively and still in excellent condition. I dont know if the model that u have mentioned is similar or not but yes as a brand i do trust Fender Dont know about Ibanez (They might be gud too) Finally just play and choose what u like..
^^ +1 to Fender, However, one needs to really play many of them to see which one sounds and plays better. I had tried the MIM Standard and MIA (Highway One) the Highway One was a great sounding instrument, MIM's were good too but the pickups were dead sounding, Fenders in general are kickass. I am a LP guy, love the thick chunky tone, Tried out one recently Gibson LP Traditional Ebony, Its expensive, but it would be a keeper. Hope funds flow in quick enough, I am going to pull the trigger soon enough.
True , I was generally commenting about fender stuff. BTW - Takamine makes some really nice sounding guitars. I owned Takamine G320, bought it for about 8.5k IIRC.
