what is your preferred playing style? I'll run down the guitars in the order you mentioned
    1) Avoid all the GIO series ibanez, they have crap wood and DO NOT BUY a guitar with a floyd rose or any other Locking tremolo if you are a beginner, The tremolo on the grg170dx is shit avoid it.
    2) Havent played so cant comment
    3) Again bad wood and tremolo
    4) Bad wood and pickups
I mentioned an Epiphone SG special in one other post too, it is a decent guitar and priced around the 13000 mark too, Or a yamaha pacifica would be good too. Try a few guitars first and buy only what feels right to you.
And i would sugest buying a Peavey Vypyr 30 that would make it close 25k, It has many effects built in so you dont need a pedal or effects processor and the tone is far supirior to any stranger amp.

    dean vendetta xmt :) :)
plus stranger (though their amps blow below 50 watts)
    korg/digitech processor
never liked zoom (maybe something personal :p)

Buy a decent fixed bridge guitar worth 15k. Yamaha or a Cort make.

    Amplifier - Laney Cub 8 - 8.5k

Distortion pedal Pedal - Digitech Grunge - 2.6k..Cant think of any low end good sounding pedal....This ones definitely better than buying a low end processor...

my man, where did u see tht?

and depends on your playstyle mate..

give ibanez a wide berth..dean vandetta is gud for the price..try the esp m-50 or EC 50..or a pacifica 112j..and i have an avion av3, and i love it! try tht too!

tried ax5g recently, along with the digitech rp90..i think korg had an upper hand..zoom se zara bachke..and stranger above 30w please..hear my bassist's sob stories, u'll know i aint kidding! or get a roland cube..and i dont know why people dont recommend orange amps, i love tht brand!

and guys howz tht Jackson JS1R Dinky? its on sale at bajaao!

Amplifier - Laney Cub 8 - 8.5k - As mentioned by mymusicmyguitar with all due respect
Cub 8 sucks, sounds boxy, rather go for the Cub 10, much better than the Cub 8 anyday.

+1000 on the fixed bridge option - Stop Tail Bridge is simple and adds a little sustain too. I do not like Floyd rose bridges.

Low end ESP LTD guitars are much better than Low end Ibanez stuff. I would suggest trying out a few guitars in the price range and check which are better.

I agree with you completely on Laney 8. But Laney 10 is 4K more than Laney 8 which is out of his budget and sound of laney 8 is not bad IMO.
    Guitar(15K) + Amplifier(8K) + Distortion Pedal (2.5k). U just need to add 500 more :p

@Thread Started if you can stretch ur budget then definitely go for Laney10. Also check out the Laney LX35R(around 9K). A very good Solid State amp which wud fit in ur budget and takes pedals really well...
