I m planning to buy a new guitar .... I choose the ESP LTD F-10 But the problem is that it is having a normal bridge .. and i want guitar with tremolo bridge ... So is there any way by which i can use pedals as tremolo ?? or any other thing by which i can play Joe Satriani like music .. ?? M interested in playing Blues and Riffs. so please help me out to find a good guitar .. Thnx a lot
You may also consider the use of an electronic whammy pedal instead of a mechanical whammy tremolo bar.
I m planning a guitar for 10 K and will strech the whole budget till 15 K ( Including Amps ) .. Hey is it necessary to buy a processor for a Pedal ?? And thnx for the info ...
Processors and pedals are 2 different things..There is no electric guitar that i like within 10K..Rather go for a Yamaha pacifica or Greg Bennet AV3 by increasing ur budget or Epiphone Special 2(12500/- looked solid..Didnt get a chance to play on it) and buy a Stranger Amp(3 - 4K)..Go for processor or pedal later on..As its useless playing Satriani if u r a beginner. Rather concentrate more on other aspects of guitar playing... If u r not a beginner and can play Satriani stuff then i wud still suggest NOT to go for a Guitar+AmP+Pedal or processor under 15K... Whatever u buy .... buy good Stuff else u will end up with really crappy sound which wud simply demotivate u nothing else....

Dont understand what u meant by riffs but yes Blues need no whammy it needs a heart to play Go for NORMAL bridge in that budget
Floating bridges are strictly no-no at low budget. but if you are referring to Stratocaster style bridge - thats fine for occasional light whammy action. No dive bombs please - unless you wish to be out of tune midway! Fixed bridge will be like Les Paul design. No whammy here. Though innovative ppl have used loosening and tightening of the tuning nut to emulate the whammy! The price for whammy pedal can be known in another thread where someone wants to sell it.
its quite impossible to achive sat's tone at that budget and if you are into blues never ever go for a floating bridge i will post a link here describing why increase your budget to 20k and get a peavey vypyr 15w and an av3 or a yamaha pacifia 112 AVOID marshall mg's,strangers,and line 6 spiders
Whammy pedal vs Floyd Rose? I don't think you can make a versus comparison here because the tone from a Whammy pedal doesn't sound anywhere near as natural the sound you get from a FR. If you are a Satch fan, listen to his song "Searching" in which he uses a Digitech Whammy pedal (in +2 octaves mode i guess). You should notice that the tone is quite digital sounding. A guitars natural tone sounds thick and rich due to a large number of overtones present in it. However, a digital processor like the whammy pedal can track only a limited number of notes and hence only the most dominant overtones get shifted, making the tone sound like a set of beepers from old computers. Satriani doesn't use a lot of whammy bar compared to someone like Vai, so a lot of his stuff should be playable even without one. He does that squealie + dive thing in a lot of songs though (like in Extremist). Just innovate and fill in the areas where those tricks come in. If you think you can cover a lot of them pretty accurately and that its just the instrument that is limiting you (only the tricks) its time to get a good FR bridge.
Ibanez grg170dx for 13k is perfectly good option.. Ppl saud it goes out of tune everytime u used the whammy bar.. I got the guitar 2 months back b believee me, its perfect.. cudnt find a single faullt.. Its good guitar to learn on, plus even when u can play it well aftr a couple of years, u wont get that inferiority feeling wid this guitar, unlike othr guitars! Lookswise also its jst awesome.. But yeah, it all depends on u.. Go to the shop n play all guitars in ur range n go for the one which ur heat longs for!
