Why guitars are better than women...

WHY................Because...........

Guitars don't get pregnant.
You can play your Guitar any time of the month.
Guitars don't have parents.
Guitars don't whine... unless you want them to.
You can share your Guitar with your friends.
Guitars don't care how many other Guitars you've played
Guitars don't care how many other Guitars you have.
Guitars don't care if you look at other Guitars.
Guitars don't care if you buy Guitar magazines.
You'll never hear, "Surprise, you are going to proud father of a new Guitar" unless you go out to buy one yourself.
If your Guitar is flat you can fix it.
Your Guitar doesn't care if you never listen to it.
Your Guitar won't care if you leave up the toilet seat.
You don't have to be jealous of the guy who works on your Guitar.
If you say bad things to your Guitar, you don't have to apologize before you play it again.
You can play your Guitar as long as you want and it won't get sore.
You can stop playing your Guitar as soon as you want and it won't get frustrated.
Your parents won't remain in touch with your old Guitar after you dump it.
Guitars don't get headaches.
Guitars don't insult you if you're a bad player.
Your Guitar never wants a night out with the other Guitars.
Guitars don't care if you're late.
You don't have to take a shower before you play your Guitar.
If your Guitar doesn't look good you can refinish it or get new parts.
You can play your Guitar the first time you meet it, without having to take it to dinner, see a movie, or meet its mother.
The only protection you have to wear when playing your Guitar is a decent thumb pick.
When in mixed company, you can talk about what a great time you had the last time you played your Guitar.

If you decide to part with an old Guitar, you don't have to give up half of everything you own.

you can fornicate with a women but you can't do the same with a guitar.

p.s. .. try crying in front of your guitar..you can't put your head in its lap and cry yourself to sleep.. you can talk out your deepest fears to it..it won't respond back.. and yea..do try to kiss it.. you'd know that a woman is lot more better..

really its nice and all to jokingly laugh about this but alpha has already pointed out in a way that emotional needs can be satisfied with many things (music, guitar, friends whatever) but the bodily urges can only be satisfied with one thing
so guitar is just another one of the other pointless ways of spending time
while girls complete us :')

You surely play the guitar... but you are not the player i was talking bout.. so you'll fall into the non-players category .. methinks !

 

I disagree with you on both counts.

a) Needs can usually be substituted with each other. Bodily urges seek a release and need no particular medium for it. For example, you might have the bodily need to urinate but the need does not require a toilet to be satisfied. You might want a toilet, prefer a toilet, feel horrible without using a toilet but you really do not need it. While a girl may be the best answer for most of us since they go far beyond satisfying needs, as has been so crudely put, a girl is by no means the only answer.

b) Why is the guitar a pointless way of spending time?

 

Define the category if you can. I'll tell you honestly whether I belong in it or not.

 

i think you fall into the category of people who picks the guitar up at random times.. who play it one month at a stretch and then don't play at all for the next few.... its just a wild guess to keep the conversation goin.. :]

 

no i just mean that it could be substituted by MANY other things which we only require to help us pass time. i mean, think about it..if we didn't have so many hours to kill why would we spend time learning and playing the guitar?

and no, this doesn't mean i don't play the guitar. in fact, i'm quite awesome at it :grin:

a) yeah it's true a girl might not be the only answer especially in modern society..it's not possible to have *** as regularly as we were made for :] but you said it yourself that the girl is the BEST way of satisfying those urges even if there are other ways almost as pleasurable. for that reason..wait, what was the point again?

b) girls > guitar. there aren't many substitutes for girls but there are many things which could satisfy the urges guitar was meant for and do it even better.

either way, i believe life has no meaning even if we're all satisfied unless there are meaningful people we bond and share the moments with *teardrops*

 

umm...many people don't just play guitar for killing time.. :O
seriously..people are passionate for it..i mean real real passionate for it..
soo..acc. to me..we cannot be catogrizin guitar with all the other things that we may do to pass our time..
