Planning to get a Egnater Rebel 20

Planning to get an Egnater Rebel 20 tube amp in sometime.... Any thoughts on my decision?

i'd have got a valveking
both cant do metal but if you mod vk=***
if you dont it will get you good tone with a dood dist pedal
and if you dont need the vk get the orange tiny terror
now google,go on youtube listen and decide what do you want

I simply dropped the idea bout BE3 amp.. but i'll get a cab built by ansar.. I'm jus plannin to get a Rebel 20 head....and i m not much bothered bout metal.. i've got pedals to do that for me... other option i have is the Orange Tiny Terror..

 

And bout the fish and chips.. I guess you said you want quality stuff for yourself.. and i shud rather throw it away for a better EQ : ..
Jokes aside... Its pretty decent.. does the job for me... tastes might differ..

and yes their casing is all plastic.. not very tough surely.. but good for home use... definitely not recommended if you gig frequently..
but i think some come with a metal casing.. donno which ones though..

 

i wont be goin for a 5 watt amp btw... Rebel offers me 1-20W .. Bedroom to gig.. everything can be done...

 

I hope you've listened to it enough and read plenty of reviews. If you find high quality youtube clips of a guitar similar to yours through the amp you'll have some idea of what it will sound like.

 

Ya i have read reviews and seen clips.. Reviews are mostly positive everywhere...Problem is that i cant try it out as it not there in Bangalore anywhere... We have to order such amps and then we have to buy it no matter how it sounds... I think i'll go with the reviews and make my purchase..
Other options i had are: Orange tiny terror and VOX Night Train...

 

How much do you earn to be able to afford to buy so much in 12 months?

 

I don't earn a lot man...But this is where i spend my money mostly.. other than eating and paying my rent.. Haven't bought a pair of jeans for more than an year now...I have severe GAS i think... uncontrollable GAS !

I get it man, GAS is the worst thing to happen to a guitarist.....IMO try the tweaker, it is more versatile and you could really nail great tones out of it even at lower volumes....I was planing on getting a Rebel 30, but then I find the price too steep for me to get there.

I am also from Blr, and I hate to see these music shops with nothing but Junk all over the stores.

I think tweaker is the subset of the Rebel 20.. and to confuse me further there's this Bobby guy... i called him up for the Cabinet thing and he said he has a 30W Tube amp head with him with awesome tone.. and i shud definitely check them... I can check his amps but i cant check the Egnater .. Making a decision is difficult in this case.. Lets see wat i end up buying ! I'll take my time and not order things in a hush ..

 

Sure Do take your time, I would also say, If i had the money I would have got a Marshall DSL 50 from the US or a Marshall clone from this website called CeriaTone.Com - DIY Guitar Tube Amp, they make awesome marshall clones, you should be able to get a 50 watt JCM 800 clone for 50k. If money is not a constraint, and this guy who sells for ceriatone, Nik, he can also step down the price when shipping to india, so you dont pay too much customs.....Worth a try, check out their reviews online......and an attenuator should do the job of playing in the bedroom
