This is Guitarforum, but I wanted a little help from those who play keyboard too. Well, I also play keyboard. One of my friends asked me which model is best of these? Roland JUNO-Gi Yamaha MoX6 Kindly reply with a basis.
Do you decide on the basis of tone, ease of playing, features etc? In that case ain't all keyboards almost same (tone and ease of playing wise)?
Well, choosing a keyboard is pretty much like choosing an electric guitar. Its like Strat vs RG vs PRS vs Les Paul. All of them are different and have a use. Yamaha Motif Series is known for their acoustic tones, in particular the piano tones are excellent. Orchestral sounds are pretty convincing. Organs are not too bad. Usable synth tones. User interface can be a little confusing. I had found the Roland tones (both pianos and synth) to be not that great. However, it seems to have a lot of expansion capabilities, a lot more polyphony and input/output options. Very good user interface. I didn't like their keys much, but that's highly subjective and could be because I am used to Yamahas.
Any particular reason to not want a Korg M50? That is an awesome keyboard too. If you don't mind the Korg piano tones, everything else is pretty awesome.
Actually, I would like to compare between them on the basis of their level. If Roland gives you input/output controls, are they of best class/level? Or after sometime I would need something even more advanced and good quality. Would it be sufficient for recording than a full fledged recording room? Well, overall which one would be best? Think of it as a Professional international musician. Which one would you rush up to buy?

I guess you are currently looking at midrange instruments. A Pro keyboard would be more like the Korg Oasys or M3, Yamaha Motif Series, Roland V-Synth or Fantom. You can also check up Kurzweil and Nord if you are interested in that stuff but i doubt if they are available out here. Among the ones in the midrange that you listed, I would prefer the Korg M50 followed by Yamaha MO and then the Roland Juno. Then again, it all depends on your application and taste. You should try them all out and decide what you like. Also, take a pair of good headphones along so that you will be able to judge them fairly (not based on the amp in the store you visit).

Whether you can find a use for all the connectivity options depends on your playing preferences. For a mostly piano-based player, something as simple as a sustain pedal and line output mght do. But for a lead synth player, he may need even more stuff like ribbon controls and sampling options.
Yeah, couldn't find it in online shops around here so had to get it through 20north (https://www.20north.com/Heet-Sound-Plus-EBow-Electric-Bow-for-Guitar/product/?mid=1&pid=B$@!00$@!0N5MK8M$@!&src=search). Pretty cool little thing. Can make an acoustic/clean guitar sound like a violin. You can also do feedback like endless sustain on overdriven guitars (like U2's With or Without You).
It just depends what you want to do with the keyboards. I mean what kind of music you want to play with your keyboard. The Roland keyboards mostly are the best with the brass sounds. Korg is mostly the best with the Pianos and Strings! If i should make a choice between those 2 keyboards, i would defenitly go for the Roland! I personally don't like the Yamaha sounds. But this is just my opnion!
