Izotope Ozone is a very good mastering tool, i didn't used it yet but i will do for sure!
Listened your recordings and they are very good, good guitaring and a good voice, just some "Sur" faults in all your songs so you've to improve that.
Your "Piya Remastered" sounds pretty good!
"Bhula do" was good too, although it seems the "Taal" (rhythms) in the beginning wasn't very well and you've got to mix the tracks the proper way, in my opinion the sound level of the drums is to high, overall a very good job, its a pity you recorded such a short part of this song, i hope to hear the whole song someday from you!!!
Your "Bass Tabla Fusion" sounded very well too!!!

Overall you are doing a very good job man, keep going and keep posting, take care man!!!

    to all experts out here...

I have been working out on researching on microphones and cameras for perfect guitar acoustic recordings. i hv listed here, the cheapest options available in the indian market. it would be great if you could just hav a glance at these thingies and give your valuable comments about whether they are worth going or not for a "Serious" recording attempt. (Not for a professional quality recording though)...

    Microphones:

    1. Sony FV 120 and 220 - bit(dot)ly/drVLqU
    2. iBall M81 - www(dot)bit(dot)ly/aCPXxr

These are the cheapest dynamic mics available in the indian market, haven't tested either of them in the realtime, so dunno how they sound... plz tell me whether they are worth going in for....

    Camera:

    1. iBall Face2Face 2M - www(dot)bit(dot)ly/bPC2Hv
    2. iBall Face2Face 4M - www(dot)bit(dot)ly/dncFLI

Also, plz tell me what frame rate and what optics should i count on... cam no 1 has a max fps = 30 while the second one has max fps of 50-60.

I have tried to record my playing through my laptop webcam (2M), my phone's cam (Nokia 5800 XM), and digital cam (simple compact cam) but none of them could avoid the "Zap" or "buzz" of my hand during fast strumming.... also, there were sounds of my camera's internal machinery and stuff, sometimes it would be more sensitive to the noise around, rather than my instruments sound hole... and related things....

Please give me your valuable comments...
Also, if any of you have some suggestions regarding the hardware required for me... please tell me, because my research is not perfect... i haven't researched on Logitech's camera series, which are considered better than others... and microsoft too....

and yeah, sorry about the links, i was disallowed to post direct external links here....

    :)

If you want to record fast passages you would require very fast capture rate - something like 125 frames per second or so.

Unfortunately if you plan to view that video on any player - it will come out as a slow motion video.
So stick to 30 fps HD video, preferable 1080p.

My view is to get a digicam.

whenever you wish to record "seriously" or "professionally", you wouldn't care about video, and for audio you could use a better higher end mic.

WTF Harmonizer, I just realized you had bumped one year old thread!

i know a simple way to record guitar and that really works is : connect ur guitar with pc/lappy....use a host software like FL studio 9...where u can use vst effects in the mixer to create ~ professional quality sound :)

good job...m sorry m too late...btw i record videos with the help of mobile device...i have audacity but dont know how to use it...karaoke mic?dont have much idea on this...i guess karaoke attenuates the signal...and it seems as if only the instrument sound is heard and vocals are muted...

^ that is known as karaoke effect in audio players.

Its got nothing to do with the microphone used for karaoke. (Karaoke - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
    The micophone is a microphone.

Do you believe that the karaoke microphone comes with inbuilt EQ that would boost your vocals and intelligently drown the actual vocals of the recording?

The audacity software is a free software tool for editting your songs. Just search Google and download the prog.
But if you want to record and edit your songs a more professional way, download Cubase SX and Adobe Audition. These are real professional software as your recordings will be sounding real good. To download those progs, search the many torrent sites.
Have in mind, to use those progs, you will need a heavy duty PC, atleast dual core processors and a minimum of memories installed of 4G!
How to work with those progs, just search Google and you will see lots of sites how to use them!
