Bugera V5: Not 'good', but it is around 8k. In the USA. https://www.amazon.com/Bugera-V5-5-Watt-Amplifier-Attenuator/dp/B002GHBZ4U/ref=pd_cp_MI_1 The VHT special 6 https://www.amazon.com/VHT-Special-Combo-Amplifier-6w/dp/B003V5WI24/ref=pd_cp_MI_0 Black BH5H https://www.amazon.com/Crate-Blackheart-BH5H-Little-Attitude/dp/B0013OBUL0/ref=pd_sim_sbs_MI_6 All ~$200. In the USA of course. Good amps, tube or otherwise, cost money. Double that budget and you'll get decent stuff here in India, and a little more than that if you bring it in from the USA.
Cub 8 is 9k, but only good for bedroom practice. And the last two amps thehundredthone mentioned are heads...you need a speaker cab to use them.
^Why do you say so? https://www.sevenstring.org/forum/gear-and-equipment/132936-nad.html OP, you have everything in front of you. Good amps, particularly good tube amps, WILL cost more.
The 6260 was on Bajaao...till I saw it - along with the whole Bugera section - missing, this morning.
There you go buddy : https://www.bajaao.com/laney-class-alltube-combo-amplifier-p-5934.html Request them for free shipping, maybe they'll listen to you and do it, and help you save the last 500 rs. from your new budget. Cheers.
^Ah yeah. That. It was the old favorite until BE3 came up with the - here it is again - Brat+. You're spending 13k on that, when the BE3 Brat+ soundly kicks the Laney's arse with 2k more. : 10" speaker vs 12" speaker? Brat+ wins. Celestion Tub 10 vs Celestion Vintage 30/Greenback? Brat+ wins. Single tone knob vs 3 knob EQ? Brat+ wins. Factory made in China vs handbuilt in India? Brat+ wins. This is why I was psyched when it was announced. Better than anything else at the price level. xD https://www.be3amplifiers.com/BE3_Brat_plus.html
There have been plenty of discussions already like this this and this Everytime it comes down to BE3 Brat+.. when no one seem to have practically played it.. Does repeating the same thing again and again helps?
No one's played the Cub series either. But an educated guess would indicate that seemingly honest workmanship + non production line manufacturing usually has an edge over Chinese factory manufactured amps. No one's saying the Cub series is bad. But with any amp build quality goes a long way and the Be3 amps are hand built.
But dont you think the OPs shud learn to search the forum well before actually duplicating the threads? If after reading them they wanna know something specific then they can create the thread with a specific question. When i can find the relevant threads so can others. Thats the reason this place hasn't grown for years.
1. That search button is bull 2. Using that Google trick takes some time, but... 3. ...they definitely should try researching more before coming up with stupid threads. Besides, That. Also @thread - I *have* played the Cub 10, I was initially going to buy that. It's pretty decent to my ears, and a lot of other people say it's good (though, I wouldn't use it for cleans-only unmic'd gigging or unmic'd jamming with a drummer, but that's not the amp's fault. 10 watts -> for pure cleans that loud, you need more wattage, around 30 minimum I've been told. Out of the box, works well for blues and rock, and add a boost pedal for metal, though a higher wattage amp is better for metal). As thehundredthone says, It's not that the Cub is bad - the BE3 is simply better, and for just 2k more, I think it's nearly invincible.
I would use it for bedroom cleans and dirt. Mic'd gigging too, seeing as there aren't going to be a lot of situations where I can/need to gig unmic'd. The Cub12R if it comes out in India at a similar price will offer more clean headroom than the Brat.
That. let's discuss . . Do you really think brat+ will have a better clean headroom than cub 10? I don't think so. Brat+ is more like the ac4tv, it breaks pretty early, and is definitely not a step up to the cub 10, apart from the build quality, which im sure is better in case of brat+. Not that i'm saying cub 10 has amazingly mindblowing clean headroom, but it is definitely better than the brat+. PS: Not to mention cub 10 having 2 preamp and 2 output valves as compared to 1 each in brat+.
Oh yeah. I hadn't taken that into account. I suppose that's how Brat+ is low priced...Damn. Can't believe I never saw that.
