Seconded. ANYTHING but Marshall MG or Line 6 Spider (now that I've sold mine off I can freely badmouth it all over the place)

    So tell us
-The genre(s) you're looking to play
-Usage scenario - Are you looking foward to only bedroom practice, jamming (includes solo practice, obviously), or gigging (a gigging amp would more or less do all three).
    -What other gear you have.

Roland Cubes are nice versatile amps, but nothing serious except for good cleans in a light package if you want to do jazz :p

If you're serious about it, nothing is better than a tube amp. And if you're really serious about tube amps, there's nothing on the mass-production market to rival a BE3 - handbuilt, good reliability and build quality, good customer care, and awesome price.
