Hey! I am planning to buy an Electric guitar. My budget is 25k and i can increase it for a good buy. This budget doesn't include amp. I will mainly play Rock and Metal. I am looking for that Slash or LP sound.

So if you could suggest some good guitars....

    Thanks

Gibson and Paul Reed Smith Guitars will do.

Can you specify any particular model??

    I was joking! :D
The guitars/guitar companies I suggested above are used by the players of your specified bands and obviously are way too expensive to purchase. I suggest you to purchase Greg Bennett AV-7 or Ibanez S420/S470 depending on your budget limit.

    All The Best! :D

^+1 for AV7. Dude bcrich, how is he supposed to buy the S 420/470 in 25k? One is 28k, the other is 30k (bajaao, though). ;)

I'd rather prefer SD's than DD's. But that's just me. Hence my previous doubt.

    1. Cheap Epiphones Suck.
    2. RG350DX Has Bad Bridge.

I get that. But I assure you'll not regret with av-7 in playing any kind of music.

Oh. I have heard about the bridge issues in RG350DX. I was thinking of Epiphone Les Paul Standard. And i have heard that its has amazing build quality. Better than the cheaper ones.

Is it not a bit out of your budget?

    I mean 40k > 25k-30k. Obviously.

If i get Epiphone LP Std, then im getting it from Hong Kong. So i think it will be cheaper. Not sure though. :p.

Is Greg Bennett good?? I haven't heard about it much....

Its a guitar to buy. But I'm thinking if you can get one of 25k-35k then why buy one for 21k. See, the thing is The Cheaper The Worse, so if you buy expensive, you're obviously gonna get better. I'd suggest considering the Ibanez S420/S470, and if you can get the epiphone cheaper in hong kong, all is well ;).

Just curious ^_^, what amp will you buy?

^ Exactly. So i might well go for Ibanez. :p.

Hong Kong has the biggest Musical Instrument Store in HK. Considering the fact the Epiphones are made in China, i think you should get LP at cheaper rates. Anyway, i have sent them a mail, asking to quote prices.

Btw, any other suggestions than S420/470?? I will mostly play Rock. One or two songs of Metal. Anything in PRS or ESP? Or what about getting a cheap guitar and putting in some hot pickups??

I currently have Marshall MG 10 CD. I know it aint good. But i will be getting a better amp, sooner or later. :p

    I smell a rat.

Greg Bennett is a pretty good deal, and I'd seriously snap a AV or TR (I was originally planning to buy one of these, but decided I wanted a 7 string, lol). Seems like it's right for your genres, too. Read it's reviews, they say it plays and sounds better than the Gibson originals (okay, that's probably their exaggeration, but eventually you play and you decide.). It can only get better with a good tube amp and pickup upgrade after that.

^ What do you mean you smell rat!? I did some research and found out that their prices are more or less US's prices!!! Isn't that amazing!!??
