i don't get what you ask.
processor is a multi-effects unit which includes everything, i.e. reverb, delay, dist. etc.
single-effect pedal is one and includes only one effect. eg- delay pedal provide delay only.
(how come you don't know this)
so if you want only distortion, you'll get good distortion pedals. try the boss mt-2, ml-2, md-2, or digitech heavy metal, distortion factory or something.

A heavy metal record. Sounds just like the real thing.

    An amp.
A processor is better used for effects, not sound shaping.
A pedal is better used for supplementing an amps sound, not for replacing an amp itself.

Why do we have to cope with jackasses of the contrary line of thinking all the time? Why do I keep running into them? -.-'

please, for the love of god, do not use "good distortion pedal" and "mt-2" in the same sentence. or paragraph even. unless you mean "keeley modded" or "marshaboogie mt-2" or something.
