Hey friends I am new in delhi...m planning to buy an electric guitar soon..Plz suggest me a Good shop for that.. i have already visited new bharat in lajpat nagar but cudn't find gud stuff... anyother gud shop anywhere in delhi..(except Bhargava's in darya ganj).. it would be great if u can suggest guitar as well in the budget of 11-13k.. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!
Bharat Music Shop in lajpat nagar also has good buys.......Furtados recntly opened up a new showroom in Ambience mall Gurgoan..........Daryanganj has about 13-14 shops dere....though most of act as brand ambassadors of GiVson.........Bina musicals and Arvind musicals in daryaganj keep decent guitars............den we have a Bhatia musicals in Khanna market, Lodhi colony, which keeps frm all guitars frm Yamaha to ESP's.......
guitar shops to be avoided no matter which ever guitar you buy...but if you happen to live in delhi then you must have heard the name of this shop " Bharat Music House", the one in lajpat nagar....dont buy any gear from those a**holes....though on the day of making the purchase they will be very sweet to you but their after sales behavour sucks to the core...they behave as if they are doing some sort of charity...they are rude and illmannered once you have made the purchase...m crying till date why i made the purchase from that shop...rather i should have tried the "ON-STAGE" shop....i would have been 100 times happier....God save those who will make purchase from that shop... you can also try bhargawa's in daryaganj....they are cool as well...
Yup Avoid them! The guy is absolutely right, avoid bmh at lajpat atleast. i have been in a literally fist fight with them.I was bit lucky as they couldn't control their attitude even before the sale and that did it for me.I gave up on the tube amp then, and went to onstage next to em and got few other accessories.i have had good exp at bhargava's DG but then everyone's milage varies. for 11-13k go for a yamaha pacifica series strats. It's built like a tank and very dependable though a bit noisy and later on you can upgrade the pups to better ones or even noiseless.

try onstage at lajpat nagar. i bought a fender squier strat this weekend from onstage and bharat didnt even have fender. onstage has good guitars,u can also try onstage at sector-18 market, noida. there is another shop in lajpat nagar, just in the line between bharat and onstage. rangarasons or something like that. u can try that out too.
ONSTAGE is VRY GUD i bought my first guitar from onstage (the noida one) n seriously i dont regret a bit....they are very cooperative....they help you a lot...with problems related to guitar specs to having problem playing....i have enev been to their lajpat nagar outlet.....they are very patient......you could deal with them with ease....

Too late to chime in . but wanted to I agree with all the posters about BMH .i bought stuff worth 30k from their shop in Ramesh Nagar, new delhi . I bought a wrong string accidently and when i went to the store to replace, they just wouldn't listen . I told them that i just bought stuff a few weeks back from their store worth my whole salary.. They didn't budge a little for 15Rs string. I felt like smashing all the instruments in their face Avoid BMH anyday.. Onstage or 440hz is also a good shop in lajpat nagar. i personally like bhargava as well.
