i have that fender squier strat and its 1.5 years old. The problem i am facing is in tuning. In std. E tuning i feel its ok but if i make it half or whole step down its seriously deviating from the tune. ( now a days, my std. E tuning also goin bit shaky)
if anybody knows wat it is all abt and the cure...please help...

    lol. yeah, welcome to IGT.

anyway, i had the same problem with my squier. the simple answer is: it's a squier. don't really expectit to hold up. the tuners are cheaper than your shoelaces, upgrade to locking tuners or just better tuners or something. also, the bridge/spring setup is a bit unstable. using more springs will usually help stabilize the bridge better, if you don't use your trem bar much it's a worthwhile upgrade. i used all 5 springs towards the end. the tuners were so crap though that it didn't help much. i ripped that guitar apart after that...

i'm never buying a squier again; if i do, it would have to be a deluxe series or better. but i'd rather just pay the small difference then and buy mex.

Thanks for welcoming me after almost 1 year :):) ...and also for answering it!!!bcoz of tremolo its goin down everytime. i used one ibanez before that, and its so obvious that there i didnt get to face this sorta problem. But i like the tonality of fender. so clean and crisp. Can locking tuner help me?wat do u think?
