    Is it an electric guitar?
Givson Is'nt a good brand ( Compared To Schecter , Gibson , Fender , Jackson)..And thus the Faraday Cage Isnt Properly Conducted...
A Faraday Cage is an enclosed formed by a material that conducts electricity...It is at the back of your guitar...
So..Mabye...if you could take it to a shop....where they will properly conduct it by putting...idk....alluminium or something..

In the case of The tone..
    Try changing the pickups..
Might i suggest EMGz Or Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio

    Hope this helps :D

you can get a new Givson for the price of neck.. so no point in replacing neck.. play it the way it is..i wouldn't even recommend goin to a luthier and wasting ur cash.. later get a better guitar..

dude, what the **** are you saying?

go back to school and revisit electromagnetics 101. shut the **** up, n00b.

and putting seymour duncans or dimarzios in a guitar that costs a third of the price of the pickups.... you have to be trolling.

yoour guitar hums because there are cheapshit givson single coil pickups in there, plain and simple.
