Hey guys. . . I wud be buying a guitar very soon. . . I'm a way too confused. . . I have a strong inclination towards electric guitar [mayb i'm jst influenced] but i've been told that its good to start off with an acoustic n i dont want to waste my money by making a wrong choice. So being a beginner, should i go for an acoustic or electric guitar ?
dude it depends on u! some quit after playin acoustic! if u ve got enough cash! get an electric! but its btr atleast to learn chords n acoustic! but yeah again its up to u, der r pple wo nvr played acoustic and play electric very welL! DON LISTEN TO OTHERS, but take it wat they say, if u think it ll be fine for u DO IT! if u can afford an electric later sure, or get both at the same time! tats wat i did and i use both!
i think u should go for acoustic first at least 4 6-months becouse of this reason 1- sound u wont get it on electric (jumbo acoustic) 2- doesnt need a amp (saves money) 3- if u quit it wont hurt u economicaly ......... there are more reasons y u should buy a acoustic u can go to any store and choose which sounds better........
Start by putting up your budget and what sort of music you want to play. Nothing wrong with starting with an electric per se if you're committed enough...
go for an acoustic learn n play it hard for atleast six months (p.s: simultaneously save money for an electric) after 6 mths..buy an electric with a 10-watt amp (p.s: no need to buy a pedal straightaway) after 6 mths..buy a distortion/multi-effects pedal (p.s: if u r willing to play metal) buy everything with a gap of 6 mths.. acoustic in budget of arnd 5k-7k..go for a pluto/yamaha or something.. all the best...and keep playing!!

Congrats on the purchase... Now stop worrying about gear for a while and just spend time learning... Knowledge will come with time and effort.
