Hi guys this is my first post in the forum. Great place this is indeed. can you please tell me where can I get 'Epiphone Les Paul special II' guitar in India? Please help. I cant find it anywhere and the database on BAJAAO.com is 4 years old, so the price is way too old and high. Currently it costs around 8.5K but where to get it? Thanks in advance
Specify your state/city. Bhargavas (Daryaganj), Onstage (Lajpat Nagar, Noida) and Furtados (Lajpat Nagar, Gurgaon) if you're in Delhi. And if any shop doesn't have it, it always helps to tell them to order it.
One place u can order from is 20north.com; however, its gonna cost you more than that. Alternately u can go for a Greg Bennett AV series guitar.
Oh yeah, I forgot that. I faced that problem when I set out to buy one like a year ago. -facepalm- I decided on an Avion back then, too. (though ended buying up something else altogether). I played an AV6 at Bhargavas, decent guitar, and AV6/7s are said to be good for the price. (there's an AV7 at Furtados for close to 23k - ironically, costing marginally less than a currently-discounted AV6 from the same shop.).
I live in Kolhapur temporarily but I am gonna move to Banglore soon. I have the budget of about 9K and i am totally obsessed with this guitar. I checked at 20north.com but it goes over my budget. Maybe I'll save some more. Lets see if I can find it in Banglore or I can ask Furtados to get it for me. Thanks a lot guys! This forum is so ALIVE! Just Great!
There's nothing SPECIAL about that guitar. Increase ur budget and get a better one. If LP is what you seek then Greg Bennett is readily available. If ur open to custom made guitars then check with Tulsi.
Haven't really tried any Epiphone, but I don't get what the big hullaballoo is about. Epiphones are to Gibson what Squier is to Fender, a subsidiary making cheaper guitars for lower end buyers. If Epiphones are not available, I hardly see what the big fuss is. If you ask the shop owner to get you an Epiphone by order, you will have to buy it whether it sounds good or not. My recommendation: if you want a Les Paul, go for the Greg Bennett Avion line instead.
You guys are right I think. This will be my first electric guitar and so I am a bit insecure. Maybe I will go with 'Greg Bennett Avion 1'. It seems nice. Its OK if i dont get Les Paul shaped guitar. After all the shape doesn't matter but the SOUND does. So can you suggest any other ones not being Les Paul? Thanks
Check Cort guitars, like Z-42 or x5. Since its ur first guitar its better to keep away from tremolos.
i checked out the site, and it is still ridiculously expensive. not a big difference unless you're buying something really small where shipping doesn't go into three figures, like ONE pedal or something. guitars and amps are still expensive, and you still have to pay customs, and then there's the 20north margin that adds to the price of everything. YMMV.
ya they're expensive.. i checked the price of dean dave mustaine sig guitar its coming to 69567 INR ... it costs 799$ in US though.. i had already dropped the idea till i find someone comin down from US.. or maybe myself goin there
