Hey guys i'm plannin to buy a new electric guitar... budget around 5k-6k... can i get a Fender Strat for that much money??? If no, then which ones would you suggest??? I'd prefer Givson... also, is raj musicals in patel nagar a good shop for that?? and does onstage at lajpat nagr have cheap guitars??? i already hav a 4yr old Givson acoustic which i bought from Bharat Music House... plz dont suggest shops in daryaganj... (its far for me)... thanx...

about 60k, i think. fender mex from 30k onwards. your budget will buy you a plan of ply with some metal stuff on it. consider playing acoustic for a while longer and save up for an electric that doesn't rip up your hands while you play. EDIT: about givson - i was getting one for 2k when i was looking to move from acoustic to electric, and flat out refused. that's how crap i think givsons are.

just buy a cort x-1 if you can stretch ur budget to 8k...its value for money n perfect for ur budget...... n if u wanna stick to 7k max. then go for a squier bullet strat...
