actually i m a beginner...i know chords like E but not E7...i saw it in the chord of song Aashayien from Iqbal....are there some more chords like E7? plzz explain the E7 chord and other chords like it...
E7 is played like this: e 5 b 7 g 3 d 4 a 4 e 0 It's the toughest chord you'll probably play. Do a lot of warm up exercises before you attempt the "E7". Good luck.
This is not the only way to play E7... There're others as well.. see this site... https://www.chordbook.com/guitarchords.php guess u'll get watever u need... Cheers !!!
Hi Antarasb , E7 chord means adding the flattened 7th note of E scale to the E chord. E maj scale goes E F# G# A B C# D# E.. now from this scale if you take out 1st /3rd and 5th notes thats E G# and B you get a Emajor chord..if you check Emaj fingering you'll see you play only these three notes and no other..now to get a E7 chord .. add flattened 7th note i.e in a Emaj scale 7th note is D# if you flatten it by a semitone you get D note .. so a E7 chord will have E/G#/B and D notes in it. You have many such kind of chords E7 / Esus etc etc .. but if you are a beginner you can do without them and play almost all songs with standard minor/major chords..Till you master 7th chords you can play corresponding major chord instead of 7th.e.g in Iqbal song you can play Emaj you won't notice much change.
he couldve went on google.....but he came here to get a direct answer from someone instead of searching.......but yall are herbs

You are having problem with E7... There are chances that you'll be having problems with D#7 also So, I suggest you to learn the basic scales like Major, minor, Dominant 7th, Pentatonic etc and also learn that how the chords are formed out of these scales.... Then attempt to play chords. If you do that, you'll be able to figure out all the chords in various shapes and positions. I hope that helps....
by the way, E7 is one of the easiest chords to play... Just hold E Major in Nut position and add the 7th note (3rd fret, second string, hold it with your pinky) and there you have it
