    Hello Guys
I am planning to buy a new guitar. I want to play some heavy riffs with some lead also.I have the following options with me

    1) Jackson JS35RR Randy Rhoads Signature
    2) Cort EVL-Z4 Les Paul Guitar

and my budget is somewhere around 25k for both amps and Guitar. Please assist me with the complete package(Guitar and suitable amps).

    Cheers !!!

go for the cort evl z4 as they are more easier to play n good quality...whereas the jackson js35rr is made in india n an really low end jackson....the low profile tremolo sux big time!....its not even an international release its sumthin i guess made just for asia!....the usa series has js30rr which is without a floyd rose!.regardin the amp either go for a line 6 or roland cube series....ive got an roland cube 15x n it really rocks!....try em b4 u buy em......go for an ibanez or greg bennett's as they have really good guitars in the 18-21k price range....if you are not into gig's an roland cube 15x is more than enuf(actually its preety too loud!)...as i said b4....try em b4 u buy em.....

    Thanks for your reply

I also contacted Tulsi guitars chennai for custom guitar. The guitar similar to jackson(in shape) costs around 18.5k. But it has some Korean pickups. The wood used is
    Body - Anegrey wood
    Finger board - Rose wood
I donno wat is this Anegrey wood?
Which wood should be ideal for a heavy metal guitar?
    Which pickups should i prefer?

I know thats a lot of questions.. But i cant help it...

    Thanks in advance..

Through your amp and processor both pickups will sound pretty much the same. Pickup output largely matters only through tube amps. So either of those guitars will do well. You have to decide whether you want the Floyd Rose or not. It comes with its advantages and disadvantages.

If you want the Floyd Rose then the Greg Bennett is the only option because the Ibanez has a fixed bridge.

    hey buddy thanks
but could you tell me some advantages and disadvantages of Floyd Rose?
    Sorry for continuous questions..

The advantage is obvious - you can whammy to your heart's content. Useful if you're a Dimebag/Vai/Satch/Alexi fan.

The disadvantage is that replacing the strings (and setting up the action and intonation) can take a very long time especially if you change the string gauge. This is because it is a floating bridge and the perfect setup depends on the tension of the strings being counterbalanced by the springs.

chennai?.where?.go for the new branch of onstage(noida) in mg road,bangalore....guess they got an innaugral 5-10% discount goin on.....ask for this man called earonna...quite helpful.....anyway cort's a good choice....they are like the HTC mobiles!....both has the similiarity of bein just an outsourcin company for big brands and finally decided to launch their own stuff....hey wat bout cort vx-2v....sounds n looks good....used to be 19k 2mnths bk....the cort vx 2v n 4v were my first option untill i decided on the jackson!.bajaao raised price of cort's but still try in offline shops you mite get em in the old price!.....check furtado's in bangalore as they had an 15% discount on esp guitars last month....

hey dude thanks a ton for the info.. i never knew onstage has opened up in bangalore as well..if possible cud you find me the phone no. please.. i m not able to get it on net..

but these furtado's ppl are bloddy money suckers... first they'll charge huge money then they'll give some discounts.. for ibanez 170Dx they said 15k.. i mean r they crazy.. it hardly costs 12k..anyways thats my experience...

and also regarding that cort vx-2v ..i love this guitar..but i guess these V shape guitars r very high maintenance .. i mean very prone to scratches and dents..

don't buy a floyd rose bridge unless you know you need one. Dont buy one just so you don't want your new guitar to be lacking.

Rickkky, why don't you take a look at my guitar? If you buy it at that price, you'll have plenty left over to also purchase some good pedals or a processor.
