https://www.bajaao.com/amplifiers-tube-amplifiers-c-4_176.html?filter_id=13 Finally, something that will (or might) save Marshall's sorry face in India (MGs anyone?). Those things seem pretty cool, specially the half stack. I got pretty hyped when I saw those in the Tube Amp section. I checked them out on UG reviews, but didn't find any, oddly. What do ye guys think? Discuss. 'Ere's a demo video, featuring a Marshall Haze vs Vox Night Train. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywfs6Rh2qqU Another, not in English, unfortunately. (The stack looks so small there -.-') https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TvgRr4xa2g&NR=1 PS - But it's still, most probably, a Be3, Guru or a Vox AC4TV for most of us.
price looks ok, i wonder what circuit lurks in there... a stripped-down, single channel 2061x? looks good, it'll probably sound good with a tube and speaker change - the celestion marquee is probably nothing more than a cheapass "made-for-marshall" thingummy. not too crazy about the digital effects in marshalls, but i think it's a great incentive for guitarists who are features-sensitive (very true for india) to look into tube amps that deliver in that department as well.
Speaking of which... I don't really like effects in amplifiers, it's always better to shell out extra for some single pedals imo, and pay for exactly what you want...I always wonder, how will someone performing live through his own amps do to change effects in the middle? Change the settings on all amps? That's long. I'd rather just use pedals to color the tone...and let the amps just...amplify and overdrive. I'd really buy the Haze if I didn't need an amp for both metal, and classic and modern rock at the same time. Really good looking and sounding amp.
Hi I am planning to buy a Guitar Processor. My preference is to play Bollywood songs and malayalam songs (classical type). Can anyone tell me which processor should i go for. If it has a tone which sounds like Veena i wil be very happy Cheers Mathai
please don't get me started on stompboxes and individual FX. 14 so far, and the craze just won't stop.... a whole bunch are in the works, and it doesn't look like i'll ever use any cause i'm always too busy trying to make a horrible new fuzz or two. FML.
Now that's called extreme. I was just thinking of buying a Boss OD-3, a Digitech Hardwire TL-2, and a good tube amp...A good-sweeping wah, and maybe, just maybe, a phaser (might use on rare occasions)... Suits all the multi-genres I wanna do. However...to quote some*one*... Not doubting anyone's skill level, but personally it's become my anti-GAS talisman. xD
@flood: I thought I recognised you. All that money to indulge your GAS. You were in SF or summat? Sorry, can't remember, it was too long ago. There were some amazing threads on RSJ, too bad that place was filled with retards. Care to explain? @ultrabot: I almost got a Hardwire SC-2 as a gift, ha. I wonder when I'll start earning. There's a surprise waiting for me at home though, I'll find out when I go home. I hope it's good, but then again it could turn out to be a T-shirt or summat. I knew I'd read that awesome awesome line somewhere
nope, i wasn't in SF... was in germany. i surprisngly never spent too much money on gear, most of the time i just got an excellent deal, found my stuff in odd places, or bought and sold gear to compensate. i never bought stuff on a need basis.... mostly just for teh lulz. if i liked a stomper, i kept it. i think the sum total of my effect purchases is actually less than the cost of a pod XT. apart from that i built 4 of my stompboxes myself... major savings there, considering two of them are pimped-out zvex clones and one is a way huge clone  i haven't included the effect PCBs that are up and running but lack enclosures and switches. ultrabot, i agree with your anti-GAS talisman, but all i care about is making noise. :insane: thehundrethone, weren't you on RSJ and/or gigpad too? i can remember you from some forum.
Yup, someone said it, not just some*one*, but thehundredthone! @flood-Man, flood, you can make pedals? Whoa, wish I could do that. No more paying for pedals! @_@
@flood: I was on RSJ for a while before I got sick of wading through the crap and left. And by that RSJ dude I meant the one who had loads of gear. Now what did you mean by that RSJ dude? Your definition of not too much money = my definition of a lot of money. Difference between one who's earning and one who isn't. @ultrabot: That last statement is linked
Man, even I wanna earn...can't wait to buy my electric and hit the road! Financial dependance = suckage. Anyways, you two, why not just tell your usernames from the forums? I mean, can you say stumbling in the dark? xD Parting video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrJ7Gq394hk
you didn't listen carefully... i meant that you were that RSJ dude. then it isn't a matter of definition anymore, but simply interpretation, since the amounts are constant... but nonetheless, hang in there. and be careful not to give in to GAS unless you end up as an investment banker or something. it chews both time AND cash
Right now I'm happy with my Zoom 707II What I'd really like is to have a store nearby where I can go and try out stuff regularly. That's what's really missing in India.
