    given a choice...which one would you recommend among a korg ax5g ;digitech rp80 and a zoom G1x?

i chkd a video on youtube demo-ing all of the korg ax5g`s 40 preset...couldnt find much variation...the zoom on the other hand has a much wider range of presets...but then again i`m newbie which one would you recommend?

The presets can be tweaked to get much better tones...
    As per me,
    Korg5g > digitech80 >> zoomG1x

u will have to fool around with the settings on any processor you buy.........korgax5g is the best among what you've mentioned.............and for that hendrix tone yeah my korg ax3g can reach upto that........... i will give you the patches if you're going buy the ax5g...........btw Korg Ax3g = Korg ax5g - expression pedal........

BTW havnt they stopped producing the korg yet?????

lol...what does that mean?..arent processors supposed to be digtal?

first of all processors aren't supposed to be sound digital........they are supposed to sound like pedals...the low end processors don't, that's a different matter.............and digtech for some reason tops the list of digitally ruining the tones.........

i went to raj musicals to chek out sum guitars....they indeed sell things at lower price...they quoted esp ex-50 for rs17600 wich is for 19600 on bajaao....the price was even more negatiable once i buy it..the guy showing the guitars to me said we hav got old stock so we sell at old prices only...thats y its so cheap...nd the shop owner said with confidence to me if anyone else is selling this guitar at a cheaper price than ours il give it to u at 100rs cheaper than that...nd they give bill too....but i dunno if the things are genuine or not.

A big store wont fool around lyk dis... Dont wry so much... They hv got a big margin which dey can reduce to lure buyers...

Agreed, more than korg. But al low ends sound so... Nehw, it gives a crunchier distortion den any multifx in the budget... Btw, saqib, a genuine advice will be, u better get a gud amp lyk roland15 or line6spider n use the inbuilt effects rather den spending seperately on amp n proc. It just limits mobility, dats all. Odrwise u get a better quality of the commonly used effects.

    @ distorted

thanks again for the info mate....mobility is really not an issue with me...so i think i`ll stick wid the amp and procssor...any info on raj musicals...are they like reliable and everything?? any body here whos ordered stuff from them online?

I did mention the fact that all low end proc's do the same............and i think he should gain more experience from a low end processor and mid level amp and then graduate to the big stuff..........I mean he can buy roland or line6 at a later stage and buy a mrashall 15 watt for now......though Mg15cd doesn't cut against a drummer.........and a stranger sounds better with a processor.........so according to me it should either be marshall mg15cd or a stranger ns30 (more preferred) with the korg ax5g..........

The only advantage of getting a low end multifx is dat he can experiment wid various effects n undstand where n hw he can use dem.
N yes, fr dat purpose a stranger is preferred.

only the strabger cube 20 can fit into my budget...u suggesting that i go with it instead of the MG10 cd?

P.S. i dont practice with any drummer etc or whatever...so having something that can blast its sound through is really not an issue..

yea man.....a marshall10cd will not sound that well with a processor ( reason being it colors the tone).......obviously as a beginner you wont notice the difference.....but a stranger sounds better with a processor......

N evn a stranger wont gv u a blast sound... it will be just audible wid the drummer if he's cool... Stranger is not bad to start wid... Most of d ppl start wid it... U can upgrade later wen u think u've started getting hold of things...
