I am beginner and still learning to play guitar. Which entry level amp should I buy? Obviously don't want to shell out lot of money since I may upgrade once I start getting better (wishful thinking)! Also, I have recently moved back to Bombay after 10 years. Where would I find competetive pricing for the guitar accessories and amps in Western susburbs?

    Your input is much appreciated.

    Thnx

Stranger Cube 20. Cheap and best. You can also buy an Amp and a Speaker seperately. Thats what i have done. You get a better powerful stuff. I have a Ahuja 80 Watt Amp (Ahuja much better than Stranger) and a good pair of speaker.

Depends solely on yr budget... tell us the budget, vil try to help u... n if u've got a processor as well or u need the the basic effects wid the amp? If the budget is nt a problem then rather den piking up stranger, try n get a roland or line6.

U wont get anything gud fr this budget man.... I suppose only a crappy stranger or kustom... I'll suggest u to wait fr sumtym, invest a bit moore n get a roland15... So u wont need a processor soon...

    hey Guys,

I recently bought a Stranger Cube20, I guess it's the best for a basic starter Kit and I also checked out the Marshall MG 15 with the distortion, I decided on the Stranger ..... which sounded a lot better with a clean tone than the Marshall.

this is my opinion, ...what do the Guitar Gurus say?

    Cheers,

Stranger is ok fr starting up, but aftr sumtym u'll feel the need fr a better amp, the effects wont come up very clearly... In fact evn i started on a stranger, but realised the difference wen i playd on better amps.
Newys, if u've alrdy bought one, enjy it fr nw... Wen u start feeling the need get a better one...
But fr the person who hsnt bought i'll suggest to extend the budget a bit more n get a better one... An amp is the basic component to produce gud sound frm yr guitar, dont go chindi fr it... As millions hv said,
A gud amp + ok guitar > ok amp + gud guitar.
N if u cant extend the budget at all, marshall is ok, thou i'll still strongly recommend getting a better one.

Thank you everyone for your inputs. As suggested I may extend my budget a bit and get Marshall MG15CDR...it is priced about Rs.5100.

I'm selling my Stranger Cube 20 for 1200 bucks only.I'll also suggest you to go for a good analog pedal instead of a processor. That should keep you happy for a long time or at least till you feel the need for a pro setup.

The clean tone is kinda good(if u know how to mess with the controls) but if ur talking bout the built in distortion it sucks ....ive heard that the pre-amp is good so it should be ok if i use a processor or pedal with it ...havent tried that though
