i want to buy an ESP KH2 guitar which is not available anywhere except BAJAAO.com...now my fear of buying from that site is 1)i cannot play the guitar beforehand 2)what if there are some damages to the guitar during shipping (even minor ones) 3)do they deal in second hand guitars or brand new.....becoz i wud hate to buy a second hand one without trying it 4) do they deal in authentic stuff....(yes......i know.....this whole buying-the-guitar thing is scaring the shit outta me....but i cant risk buying it coz its worth a lakh) plz help me out guys..........
I have done a few small purchases of under 1k from Bajaao in the last 2 years. I have bought strings, picks, guitar cases, metronome etc. I have also made a purchase worth 30k a month ago from them, on behalf my company. The purchase included an Ibanez GSR bass, an amp and an SM57. My experience with them has been good. They had packed the bass really well (It took atleast 5 minutes to cut open the carton and the massive amounts of bubble wrap and packaging). It got all the way from Mumbai to Mysore without any problems, so I think your guitar would be safe in shipping. I think Bajaao will accept returns in case of shipping damage (not sure). That said, you are right about the importance of trying it before buying. I think you should mail them and ask them if you can try the instrument especially as it is a top of the line item. The case may be that you may not like it after you try it first hand, though I am sure it is a great guitar.
They used to have a section called 'Seconds Corner' which used to deal in second hand stuff. For some reason they discontinued that section. All other items listed are new.
I got a processor frm them a few months back... It reached int ym safely... but i suppose dey dont take reponsibility of damage during shipping, nehw, they pack rly well.
Hey Daggi, where are you based ?.. If you are in Mumbai or Delhi you can go into a store and check it out. Bajaoo send the shipement pretty well packed, I have also bought from them, but their prices are high and marked up 10-15 % on guitars above the retailer who supplies to them. ESP is imported into India by Furtados music in Mumbai and they supply to every known ESP retail shop in the country, give Furtados mumbai a call and find out the availability of the stock, if you have a friend (music teacher) who is registered with Furtados make him buy it and you will get a flat 5% discount on your purchase. Since I see you inveswting a lac in the guitar it is a cool 5000 bucks you can save..
i think its totally ridiculous tat yr planning to buy such an expensive guitar without tryin that particular piece beforehand...i recommend you go order at furtados...they deal in esp..
i live in delhi...n i have enquired about it at onstage but unfortunately they dont deal in ESP guitars....i also called the furtados music store in mumbai n the surprising thing was that they didnt even know about the existence of this guitar...they were confusing it with ESP KH202 n 203...n same was the problem with their other store in gurgaon... the mumbai one gave me an email address to check out whether this guitar can be imported or not....n I M STILL WAITING FOR THEIR REPLY......its been days man... and yes.....it would not be appropriate to buy this guitar without even trying once....so i m still searching for good shops in delhi where i can only hope to find this one...
