yea, catchy tunes, does it mostly......like that phir milenge - jeene ke ishare intro tune....
and singing doesnt really matter, when u play well, i mean when u play some nice chords, for eg. dooba dooba, nobody realy listens to the voice quality, but the flow of music.....I've done plenty of times.....i mean my voice is mebbe slightly better then 'Devang Patel'.......loll

tht depends upon the person who asks you to play....
If the person is ur GF/BF try to play some romantic song or a signature tone of the song..If the person is ur friend and has some interest in english numbers then try to play a popular song like summer of 69, other wise try to play some bollywood song like the rock on!! there are a lot of stuffs...to play...

Yeah i kinda figured out what to do if the person is below 27~30 yrs and if its ur cousin USE plenty of distortion and even playing a scale in hyper speed makes them say wtf...
the prob comes when someone like say ur uncle or aunt tells you to play i mean those guys may never have heard any english songs (im talking of ppl who are like 50 or 40) and also may not listen to any new hindi songs then what>?????

    Songs to play -

Nothing Else Matters (Intro) (Girls go crazy)
    Sweet Child O' Mine (Intro)
Wherever I May Roam (As much as you can)
    Summer of 69 (Full Song)
Smells Like Teen Spirit (Full Song with backing track)
    Eruption (Tapping solo)
Big Sur Moon (If you have a processor or delay pedal)
Fade to Black (Intro + 1st Solo + Main Riff + Chorus)
    Any "Rock On!" songs

That's what I used to do. But now I play some random power chords and palm muted E string :)P) and a few riffs that sound similar to "The Mechanix" or "The Four Horsemen".

Btw, The Mechanix is a lot better than The Four Horsemen :p

oh ya. forgot soothsayer intro and too many humans. also try Star Wars theme by buckethead. its easy and almost everyone knows it.

and if you are good at playing fast, try to play the Godfather theme and Obsession/Confession by slash. i am sure that everyone will LOVE Obsession/Confession. but yeah, play it on acoustic. it sounds kinda lame on electric.

man there are a LOT of good songs to play for people of any age

    Stairway to Heaven
    Paschendale (Intro)
    Smoke On The Water
Beyond The Realms Of Death by Judas Priest

and yeah and even some random buckethead tapping will amaze the crowd. i tried it today. it looks hard and feels hard for the first few mins. but you will learn to do it clean and smoothly very quickly. :)
