hi there, i've got a fender CD-140 SCE electrocoustic guitar and i wanna buy an amp for it, but i'm confused b/w, first of all brands viz. marshall, behringer, laney and roland; and secondly the wattage i.e, i want an amp which is good for practising in my room.
Do i need extra speakers too, or just the amp will do???
    please help me out.
    thanx in advance............

For electro acoustic, you would need a flat amp.

    RE : Confused

Your choice is predicated on the guitar and since it's an acoustic you will need an amp that is really quite quiet with no noticeable noise .

To be sure of that when you test out an amp , just turn up the amp your checking on to it's max with out anything plugged in to it . If there is a noticeable hum or anything above a whisper it's not the one you want , it's that simple . Get the one that is the most silent .

As far as FX pedals , a nice chorus / delay and or reverb unit would work nicely .

    Good luck
